Oh come on, Z - you *know* we'll all be hovering over Kelli's space like a flock of vultures after *that* remark!

OK, correction - I know *I* will be hovering and so on - this can't possibly be the first time that I've mentioned that elves are hopelessly curious?

...or, possibly, I'm the only one stupid enough to say so - sorry guys and gals, did I spoil it for everyone now?

Well it's posted now anyway. So its too late. I just didn't want to distract the tone of the Atelier.

Oh - right - a gib for FG!

Sorry you're feeling low, FG.
Lil, that's terrific news about the clock. Makes me wish I had something old and valuable lying around.
Ben, good luck with the job.
I have been choosing drawer pulls and cabinet knobs today. I had no idea there were so many to choose from. The architect and I do not have the same taste. I think I made an excellent selection that will go nicely with out warm red oak woodwork and circulation counter. He wanted chrome. I chose brass with a hand cut diamond pattern. It's sort of cool being able to boss them around.

#2 grandson - #1 daughter's (31) child - is on holiday at the moment, so I'm busy building sandcastles, splashing with water, playing with cars and footballs, exploring the woods and a lot of other important projects with this very bright and happy 2-year old.
I'll be absent for a couple of days and catch up with blog during the nights.
My weekend in blazing sunshine was spent in the scouts annual fleamarket in the morning and playing music at a café close to the sea in the evening. Sunday we brought #2 son (15) to his new school - and didn't hear from him untill today - four days after. (We did assume that no news are good news ). He is happy about his main subject (music), about his roommate, the teachers, the environment and all the other youngster there...

Good news on the clock front, Lil.
for FG.
Cassie has her v-e-t appointment tomorrow morning. So far she is avoiding coming indoors. I shall be going out to look for shooting , but will really be trying to get her to grabbing distance by gazing skywards and making admiring noises. That's assuming the curiosity s are famed for will draw her out of lurking in the bushs mode. If I can get her in overnight half of tomorrow's battle will be won.

dElaphant (and Zeppo his dog (and Gummo, Zeppos dog)) - Left my apostrophes at the BBC Posted Aug 11, 2004
FG, cleaning the toilet always cheers me up. Not really. Have a loo brush anyway.
Speaking of cleaning up, Z the next time you are hiding behind my refrigerator, would you mind sweeping up back there? It desperately needs it.
Too cloudy for Perseids here.

Amy the Ant - High Manzanilla of the Church of the Stuffed Olive Posted Aug 11, 2004
According to Godfrey Bloom, Euro MP for the Old Duffers' Party, cleaning behind the fridge is a job for a Yorkshire woman.

I hasten to add that this particular Yorkshire woman is not available for fridge cleaning under any circumstances.
I've had a very odd sort of day. I'm sort of confused and angry and worried and a bit overwhelmed all at the same time . I may get round to writing something about it on OTD later on.
to those who need it.
I'm still worried about B4's ants too.

Sorry to hear that you too are feeling out of sorts, Amy. A few of us seem to be in that state. In my case I think it may be the heat as much as anything else. It's 20 to 1am and here I am sweating, knowing that sleep is probably not a realistic option.

Good Doctor Zomnker (This must be Tuesday," said GDZ to himself, sinking low over his Dr. Pepper, "I never could get the hang of Tuesdays.") Posted Aug 12, 2004
Glasses are fixed, ended up replacing both of the pads. One place I called wanted $5.00 for the pads, the place I went to put them in at no cost at all.
