I've eaten just about every meat one can cook and eat safely, but I draw the line at cats and dogs. Tried guinea pig once, and didn't care for it. But elk and moose and antelope (as well as most fowl), I'm in. Frog legs are, to me, more work than chicken wings, so why bother?

A quiz!
I took some photos this morning when I went to tend the flowers. I've extracted 15 flowers that need to be identified.

(hint: I can't identify any of them. smiley - blush)

I knew all of them except one by their common names, but if you want botanical names..........I can't identify them either. The one I can't think of is the white one with the gray green foliage plant around it. The gray green foliage plant looks like licorice vine to me. I've had the little white ones in hanging baskets--just don't know what they are called.

The wax begonias and the lantanas both have pots here. They tolerate the Kansas sun just fine.

Nice pictures. Are you going to put some of them on cards????

Good Doctor Zomnker (This must be Tuesday," said GDZ to himself, sinking low over his Dr. Pepper, "I never could get the hang of Tuesdays.")

I won't even try to identify them, I can barely identify a rose! smiley - laugh

I have a fairly good idea about some of the plants - but have never even seen some of them.

1. Purple ones are petunias - yellow one ?
2. ?
3. Yellow flowers - osteospermum
4. White petunias
5. Red flowers - can't remember - but I actually have some in my hanging baskets this year
6. ?
7. Dahlia
8. White flowers are Bacopa "Snowflake" - grey foliage is helichrysum, I think
9. Possibly mesembrianthemum
10. Begonia
11. ? Thyme
12. ? heliotrope
13. ?
14. ?
15. Osteospermum again

smiley - blush the only one I got was begonia... T, does thyme flower like that? Our thyme has tiny leaves. I would never have guessed that one.

It being late and my brain struggling to function, I'll just go to bed, I think smiley - biggrin

Assuming we're numbering the same way, I think 13 is indian paintbrush. Hard to tell from that far away, though.

I thought #2 was a type of snapdragon...and I'm pretty sure the white flowers in with the gray green leaves are simple phlox. And #15 is of the daisy family.

Beyond that, got me!

I officially don't have a clue about the flowers. Pretty though. What's it in aid of?

Camel hunting was successful too. Good old Hamleys. Even got money off as it was a bit grubby. Shall have to attack it with a damp cloth before the big day. It is hidden at the bottom of my laundry basket, this being the only place I can rely on B not looking and coming acroos it by accident.

Journey across town was a bit of a mare though, with all the roads closed for the cycling.

Singing went quite well. Even B quite liked it. Good old baroque music.

Oh, sorry, they are _your_ flowers, Lil.

I think I've forgotton what flowers look like. Not much round here has survived the rain.

Although summer seems to have crept up on us suddenlike again. I felt a bit of a wally yesterday when I discovered half way down the road that it was a bit sunny for thick black tights.

I'll stay out of the flower discussion because I know nothing about flowers.

Managed to find a lovely flat in Blackpool, and a non-so-nice but cheap one. I'm now horribly paranoid that the owner of the lovely flat won't want me there because.. well just because really.

And Timmy can come to both! I think he'd prefer the first one.

I personally love Blackpool, it's a unique place, tachy, cheap, fun has sea, oh and I like the pleasure beach.

9,3 and 15 are definitely mesembryanthemum

11 does actually look like thyme

Can you tell I've been googling? Well, it is a lazy Sunday morning.

I didn't bother viewing places that weren't ok with a cat - there was no point. I could live in hospital accomodation if I wanted to not have a cat and that's, well, cheap.
