No, it puts outlying parts of Capitan in danger. The Forest Service has stressed that Historic Lincoln is to be protected at all cost.
But it goes to show the folly of attempting to control fire with fire.

Lil, do they have a plan of some kind?
I'm worried about the cats, too. You're going to need to lock them up someplace where you can grab them in a hurry if you have to. They'll be po'd, but better safe than sorry.

A plan???
Vinnie is good at coming when he's called. Limbo can usually be lured by the sound of dry cat food rattling.

Egon, wasn’t that a perfect opportunity to laugh at the whole situation all over again? This is the kind of sweet serendipitous occurrence that winds up being a treasured memory over the years. The juxtaposition of that song with the presence of your date can only serve to reinforce a bond between you two. Shared time, shared experience, shared memories.
Be mindful to keep it light and easy. Laugh off the little foibles and show her you will always persevere, no matter what the odds. I once saw a bumper sticker that read, “Make me laugh; you’re half-way there.” Don’t force it; see the humor built into this crazy world we live in and share its zaniness with her. Big benefits over time…
