We had no scribe for the most recent conversation, and your hostess has had a pesky little illness IRL, such that she wasn't always giving the rest of her guests the full attention they deserved.

But we can note a couple of things. First, this Golden Backlog Award for Affi, who conquered well over 300 posts toward the end of the last conversation. *Chloe hands Affi a small gilted log standing vertically on its onyx plinth*

And I know I speak for ALL the salonistas, our lurkers AND the robot staff when I present this special trophy to the Editors of Collective and H2G2. *Chloe holds up a ceramic sculpture of a frame house with a foot sticking out from under it* I hope this, the Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead Award, will convey our appreciation for the professionalism of our Italics in dealing with unpleasantness.

Without a scribe, we can't really recall all that was said in the last time, but it was a period for chat, more than for substantive discussion.

So let's all sit down to a well-cleaned room, fresh drinks, and fresh baking by Matina.

cheers Lil! Have you ever used the Eudora email program? The default "you've got mail" sound is the same as the opening to the log song. It was driving me crazy trying to figure out where I'd heard it before.

I thought Ren&Stimpy were the best ever -they're what got me into watching cartoons again, which led to me finding Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Sea Lab 2021, Aqua Teen Hunger Force...sooo good.
