It seems that, despite the cloudy, windy and rainy cold weather we're having right now, that at least the pickpocket season has arrived...

The South American gangs spend all year around in Stockholm these days (operating in gangs of just 3-4 people) and boy, are they smooth - I've seen more than enough of them during my hotel years.

But now it seems the ketchup-smearers have arrived too... and the bump-intos as well. The summer gangs mostly consist of people from Eastern Europe and the Balkan countries. Although the most recently arrested ketchup-smearers were of North-African origin, carrying falsified Belgian passports.

What is a ketchup-smearer??

Well into May and here I am getting out the extra blankets and the flannel nightgowns from the drawer where I thought I had buried them for the summer. At least I'm not in Colorado, where they've had snow...
