Strangely Strange, I think the band you want is Aqua, and it was c.8-10 years ago now.....
for Teutcher.
I managed to grate the knuckle on my right thumb rather than a lemon the other night. Silly me, but it bled a heck of a lot. We also now have plasters in the house.

I'm bored. Bored bored bored bored. This is of course my cue to go write something. Do I go write something? Ooh, no. Far too busy being bored.
Am I boring you?

for Ag - it's such a relief to see you being back to your usual very eloquent state of ranting self!

Whereupon the Matell Corp. tried to sue them, of course - as did the Disney corporation when finding out there was a... a.. Danish(?) band calling themselves Disneyland After Dark - so now they're known as DAD... *rolls eyes*

And about accents and things - how come the British so often use the word 'love' in the end of a sentence? And it seems to be just about everywhere - from customs to Boots' cashiers. I guarantee you'll never ever come across a Swede (or a Finn) calling yo9u 'love' in a situation like that!

Whatever you do, Titania, don't visit Devon. They don't say "love" they say "my lover".
I think Michael Moore's a brilliant satirist. It's just a shame he does more serious ranty stuff than satire these days. Fair enough he wants to be serious about something he cares about, but it's less entertaining and doesn't seem much more successful at getting things changed.

Aqua, yep that was it, if I remember the song/video had a few double meanings like the UK Eurovision entry, I am not surprised they tried to sue Aqua then.

I think it's a Northern thing isn't it?
Anyway. In 12 hours time my MRCP Part 1 will be failed again, or maybe passed or at least I won't have to do any more ing revision for while. Then I can concentrate on what's important in my life.
Oh, er, I haven't got anything else. I abandoned them all for this stupid exam.

> To hear some comments you'd think the idea of reality being a computer-generated illusion had never been seen before. Heck, it was in Red Dwarf several years before.
> They have similar themes, but Dark City is an infinitely better movie
I thought Dark City was great - a little muddled when it came to plot structure, but a great movie. Same with the Matrix. I've been a William Gibson fan for years. If they had taken the two sequels and squished them together into one tight movie, it would have been another great movie. Except for the chase scene with the two creepy twins, they were a waste of my time.
I wouldn't think twice about Hot Fuzz, except that I saw Shawn of the Dead, and thought it was hilarious.

Oddly enough, that chase scene was the only reason I didn't *completely* hate the Matrix sequels. And I'll take Dark City any day!
Lately, I've been trying to envision the casting for Dan Simmons' Hyperion books. Perhaps it's because I'd just watched "Libertine" and thought Johnny Depp would be perfect as Keats.

'cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey' i was told and i have no reason to doubt it . that it came from the navy , as many of our expressions do , and it originates from the gun decks of man of war , where cannon balls were piled up in a pyramid , the contraption for keeping this pyramid in place , looking like the triangle used to rack snooker or pool balls , was a monkey , when it was very cold the monkey , made of brass , would contract and the cannon balls would fall off .
