Good Doctor Zomnker (This must be Tuesday," said GDZ to himself, sinking low over his Dr. Pepper, "I never could get the hang of Tuesdays.") Posted Feb 24, 2004
I scored an 8 which is really impressive as I am really bad at math.
Not all girls are evil, Gwen. My daughter is definitely not evil.

*8/10 on the quiz and did you realize that 42 in binary is 101010?*

The court case was cancelled. That gives me a chance to key in my mid-term essay for the watercolor class.

Good job I went to the news site first instead of here.
10/10 on the maths quiz (I got lucky guessing the googol but the rest were ok)

10 out of 10 on the math(s) quiz .
What's so odd about having six legs? I didn't get that bit.
I spent the day sorting books with a view to throwing lots out . It has to be done. I can't move the books up to my nest and I can't leave them cluttering up my parents' nest when they're trying tomove house. Lots of my dad's books have gone as well - I just hope he doesn't notice before I've gone back home .

No Amy Don't Do it!! Please.. donate them to a chairty shop where a poor deprived student, (one so poor and deprived they've just spent £35 on textbooks) can buy them.

Yikes, I got a 5/10 on the math quiz. I knew the googal, the triangle, the differences in billions, and the percentage.
The actual questions requiring calculation? Forget it. Why do you think I'm a history student?!
Although I remember taking the GRE in 1990 and getting a 420 on the math, and then 12 years later getting a 460, which I thought was odd...

Me and math do not get along. I got 4 out of 10 but still think that my answer on Pi is right as I did not round up as they apparently did.
Phil, I own Pi on DVD and it is a favourite film of mine. I like the commentary on it as it explains a lot of the imagry that you would not normally know just by watching the film.

Panic not! By 'throw out' I meant a combination of car booting, donations to charity, ebay sales and auctions . Although I did burn the first edition of the National Curriculum for Science and I trashed a couple of outdated electronics books that had pages missing.

Sorry I missed the pool game, Marv & GDZ - my brother was beat, and doesn't drink, so we went home. I didn't see him long enough as it was. I went snowboarding on Sunday and Monday morning (before my flight back). That was crazy. The altitude was killing me, I kept sucking wind unexpectadly. The powder was awesome on monday - I did at least 3 head over heels wipe outs, without getting hurt.
I got an 8/10 on the quiz...math has been my weakness at grad school, while it was my strength at undergrad. Very frustrating. I should have taken more math at undergrad. I just don't think I have any talent for it. I can do it, but I'm just not creative about it, and I can't "see" it. oh well.
