Wonder if I did a last week - over dinner with a Greek and a French colleague, we were talking lots of vaguely shop-related stuff and at some point the talk was on "controlling distributors".

As I have been doing int'l marketing through distributors for 15 years, it's - well - a topic I have some feeling for. So I talked quite a bit and though it was not quite stunned silence (), they did seem a little surprised. And then, actually, the French guy (who heads our sales in the southern half of Europe) suggested that next time he had the sales people of the region together, he would like me to come down and give a presentation on the matter.

Gulp! I mean - I have been around and tried and done a lot of it, but compared to the people I have heard and read on the topic I didn't actually consider myself an authority on the topic. But in the end I uttered a yes with a few disclaimers attached...

Hear, here. That's about the only vegetable that I prefer canned, as it's difficult to get really good tomatoes unless you grow them yourself. Our tomatoes succumbed to the spider mites about June. However, our seventeen habanero plants are still doing quite nicely, thank you. Anybody want a habanero?
