I have been having some dreams lately, involving houses. I must stop watching those property programmes on telly.

H went all out of focus again and said my aura was largely yellow. I must find out what it means.

Perhaps a new pair of glasses?

Oetzi, it tends to be quieter on weekends when so many salonistas wander off to have a life, but it only becomes completely quiet for maybe a few hours here and there.

A medium once told me I had a white fluffy aura; since I've moved to Lincoln I daresay it has attracted a lot of dust.

I hear the temperature is set to drop on the weekend, so I've turned on the pilot light on the gas heater. And brought some wood into the house. I am now officially prepared for the cold.

I am going to Mikey's (the non-bryce/non-slumlord roomie) graduation from teh fire academy this evening. I must say that I am exceptionally proud of him for this accomplishment.

Well, Mikey's graduation was good, right up to teh point that his ex told him that she was engaged.

What kind of tactless person ruins a special event for someone else by dropping that kind of bomb?

Snow has come. Splendid. I can get my clompy boots out.

I have no wish to get my clompy boots out. The ways things are going, it will probably be january or febreuary before I do need to get them out (it is currently still 60F out right now).

Marv, that's crappy, and I bet anything that's *exactly* what she meant to do...ruin his special occasion.

Which makes me think Mike is a heck of a lot better off without her.

I don't know that she intended to ruin the occaision, but her lack of tact has been an issue for quite a while. I really really dislike what she does to Mikey. I don't think that what she does is out of malice, so much, but out of sheer selfishness. She is a very self centred person at the best of times, and tonight was not the best of times.

But all is well for the moment, Mikey is at the bar having fun and getting drunk. The whole "family" (Mikey, Bryce, The Slumlord and myself) will be there as soon as I take Bryce to the bar and we will have a good night.

Way to go,ex-girlfriend ! Screw up what should be the happiest night of my friends life with this bombshell. Anyway, I am also exceptionally proud of my friend. He worked really hard, sacrificed, and overcame a lot of obstacles to accomplish this. I think he'll make an awesome fireman !
