kelli - ran 2 miles a day for 2012, aiming for the same for 2013 Posted Aug 8, 2006
After some googling it turned out that mountain time is six hours behind british summer time - that should be about 2pm here so barring surprise meetings I should be around

I get it to 3pm UKian time and 4 pm Danish time...

(I picked SLC/Utah simply because it was the first one in the convert-from list I knew to be mountain time...)

It's daylight dummy time as well... Don't forget that. I thought that MST was GMT-7.

You could be right Santra, it wasn't really very clear in any of the websites I was looking at - they all seemed to say six hours behind in summer and seven in winter. This actually didn't make an awful lot of sense though - perhaps they were not converting to british summer time, but sticking with GMT for the summer?

Why daylight dummy time Marv?
I wish we stuck with BST all year round, *hate* the fact that winter evenings seem to start just after lunch

Those of you who are abundantly blessed in the leg department should tie one leg to one leg of your partner. My recommendation is that the legs in question should be as contiguous as possible. I bet you will be just as handicapped as the bipeds.

The site I used (and shorted down the link for) is one I use often when trying to find out when to phone business partners in Farawayistan. That, and CityTime on my Palm, both a blessing in my line of work

I think that changing the hour for a season is stupid.

I suppose offering myself as a light partner for an aerial member would be kind of iffy? Then again, as long as I don't roll myself up, there'd be a good amount of air resistence...

Yeah, I'll be on my way to take my last finals.
I think my physical therapist is trying to kill me.

dElaphant (and Zeppo his dog (and Gummo, Zeppos dog)) - Left my apostrophes at the BBC Posted Aug 8, 2006
Out of sequence post alert! We've struck an invisible LED.
/* ties one leg to Zeppo and another leg to Jersey Gummo
*/
Does this have me running an 8-legged race or a 9-legged race? Maybe I can arrive in two time zones.
Did we lose Babette somewhere?

*gets three pairs of sneakers ready*
Oh look! A mammoth. I drew some of those once. The link must be around somewhere.
I'm afraid I'm very busy being my usual ant-like self. I'm sharing an office and the other person can see my monitor, which cramps my h2g2 style somewhat.
*snags another mufflewhump*
Can you get these at Sainsburys? I'm doing my shopping online these days because it's too far from the shops for an to drag the groceries.
I've had a bit of a crise de keys. I thought I'd lost my new office keys (and my stick drive and the penknife that Steve Jobs sent me (long story)). But having finally explored all avenues - the bus company had had other keys + stick drive handed in on the very same day, who'd have thunk it - and reported the loss to the police, it turns out that the keys in question had grown little legs and crawled out of my handbag onto the top of another handbag and hidden behind a scarf on the hat stand.
OK, I'm working on the 'little legs' theory but it's the best I can come up with at the moment.
Anyway, I'm having fun, learning Quirmish and trying to decide what to see at the Quirm festival.
I'll be around

Incidentally, my 'little thing' is very sticky atm. Whatever happened to Hyp's man with the little thing? I fear I may have missed the denoument in the backlog.

Since I so often find myself without a leg to stand on I doubt I'd be any good at three legged races

Lentilla (Keeper of Non-Sequiturs) Posted Aug 8, 2006
> I'm in Purgatory. For those of you who didn't know, it's a restaurant/gas station/rest stop on a large highway at 2 in the morning. You're less than halfway home. The coffee is vile and your eyes are burning.
There's a black velvet painting of the King of Rock-and-Roll hanging just inside the door
And the short order cook gives you a mean and hungry look as he soils the kitchen floor
The jukebox is playing Barry Manilow incessantly; it almost drives you MAAAAAD
The local trollop tries to give the double whallop to a salesman clad in plaid.
Waitress, waitress, bring me some coffee, make it as hot as you can
Oh, bring me some light in this everlasting night, at the Highway Cafe of the Damned.
I'm unable to find a link to the Austin Lounge Lizards lyrics for Highway Cafe of the Damned. Perhaps it doesn't exist. If you're looking for humorous bluegrass music, the Lizards are a safe bet.
> But buns are inherently designed for dunking
Especially my buns... perfect for dunking in the river. Or the pool. I do hope nobody has dunked their buns in my tea.
> I don't think Mammoths generally wear ties.
Only because it's hard to find ones that will fit a mammoth.
> Would we have to tie a pair of forelegs and a pair of backlegs together making a six-legged creature? And how would Amy ant cope?
Nobody, and I mean nobody, is to pull off three of Amy's legs. Leave those legs alone!
