WHO IS MATAR HARI Posted Mar 23, 2004
Tarot cards another way that may help in later readings of thes cards is to getsome blanks or outlines of scenes then fill in the coulored parts yourself ,also while you are filling in the details think about the meanings you assosiate with them.
Hati so what if you lose your sanity , when someone can explain what sanity is you can then worry about loseing it! fear is a powefull catalyst ,but at the end of the day it is only a emotion , history is the only thing that cannot be changed.

Yeah, all this sanity stuff is quite uncertain, isn't it? Then again there are some certain rules in the society and people who get into too deep conflict with those are usually put away. Being a single parent in the middle of all possible mess I am worried quite about every piece of me that could possibly fall apart.

What does this remind you of? It's too bad the picture isn't bigger, it was remarkable in the newspaper.

Good one, d'E. I saw that photo in my local paper but I never made the connection.

In the one photograph where he is facing the camera, he does seem to be deliberately assuming the pose of the Hanged Man.
I don't think this is normal behavior, but it's a long time since I lived in the northeast US.

I don't believe hanging upside down gives one many posture choices. The free leg would get tired unless you tucked it in.
Today's paper still says the reason he was hanging around is "under investigation". Theories run along the lines of failed bungee jumping, failed suicide attempt, and a desire to write graffiti on the bridge leading to slip with enough forethought to have a safety rope around his foot. The paper did not mention an attempt to imitate the Hanged Man, but that was the first thing that came to my mind even though it is not at all usual for the Northeast US, despite what the rest of the country says about us

I have just discovered that the Golden Tarot deck is now in print
I have emailed H in the hopes that he gets the hint and orders them for me from Amazon.

Coniraya Posted May 19, 2004
The cards have arrived from Amazon, but as I have to leave the house shortly, I haven't opened them yet.
Is there anything I should do on opening them? I seem to remember someone telling me years ago that they have to be charged, but I can't recall what she said .

Were they bought for you as a gift? if not they'll need to be cleansed and given back to you. Otherwise just playing with them or maybe sleeping with them by your bed should be enough to attune them to you..some people like oo keep them in a special box or coloured cloth (purple is good for psychic purposes) but thats just personal choice I feel.

They are a gift, Serephina, I emailed H the link to amazon.
I will just keep the cards by me for a while then, when I'm not looking at them.
Good, I can open them then

As far as I know thats the important part
The rest of what you do with them just comes down to what you feel you should. I can't say i've seen that deck but they sound nice.

They are beautiful, all gilt edged and bigger in size than my IJJ deck.
The minor arcana are all picture cards too, but as they owe more to Rider Waite than IJJ I shall have to take some time to get used to their meanings.
I love the medieval theme to them and they feel much more comfortable than my other cards

What do you do with cards that are not a gift?
The Atelier Conservatory
Serephina Posted May 19, 2004
Forget what the books say n let them speak to you ..the pictures can say lots..and different things everytime! I always get a more accurate reading if i just go on gut feeling..it took a while to be brave enough to though n i'm still not always.
I was taught that if they're not a gift they should be given to someone to 'cleanse' and then given back to you.

I have recently acquired a talking board; that's called a ouija board as marketed by Parker Bros, but the board I have (which was made when I ordered it) is made of wood (the planchette is made of the same piece) with the characters and symbols burnt in to the surface.
This morning my friends the Winters came to meeting, and as Laren is an Episcopal priest (not going to his own church, but that is a whole nother story) he blessed it for me, complete with anointing. We made a circle, an impromptu ceremony, and Laren made a Christian prayer over it.
I have an elderly friend who tells me she contacted spirits on a previous occasion and that what they told her turned out to be verifiable fact (local history), and she is extremely keen to contact them again, so we will initiate the board this evening.
Comparing notes, we find that no less than three households -- me, my next-door neighbor Cille, and the Winters -- have experienced murmured conversations in the room or seemingly in the next room when no-one was there. In spite of the many murders that have happened in this town, none of us feel that we have encountered anything negative, and all who've seen the picture I took with the orb in it have been remarkable unsurprised. Nora, my elderly friend, is quite convinced that there are beneficent presences in her house.
I should add, for those who don't know, that I live in Lincoln, New Mexico, which is actually a monument, full of very old houses and impromptu cemeteries. There was a small war here. Two bodies are buried behind the post office, and we're not sure how many more behind the Penfield house next door -- at least a dozen, some of whom were shot escaping when the McSween house was burned to the ground, just on the other side of the store. Billy the Kid was one of the successful escapees.
Anyway, I'll let you know what, if anything, comes of this evening.
