Way to go, Hati!
I guess they just couldn't wait to get you to start work. That speaks volumes for their trust in your skills.
Keep it up!

They'll have to wait though. My other contract will end on 12th of march. But then again - we will have elections on the 2nd of March, so there isn't much space in the newspaper anyway.

Yay! Congratulations Hati!
I can report that I had a good meeting with the administrators at the museum in Ruidoso. Actually, my first contract there will be an ambrotype belonging to the chief administrator, of his great-grandfather.
Hati, please slice the cheesecake.

Hati got a jo-ob! Hati got a jo-ob!
I found a great joke:
A ham sandwich goes in a bar. The bartender looks at him, shakes
his head and says,
"I'm sorry, we don't serve food here."

soeasilyamused, or sea Posted Feb 22, 2003
wow. this is definitely the place to come when one needs sound advice!
the artist is a friend i had a class with freshman year. he's a really nice guy, and i really have a hard time imagining him trying to force himself on any woman, being that he's the youngest of six children, and the first 5 were girls. i may be being naive, but i've been alone in an apartment with him before (watching TV - we both are Alias fanatics) and there was no problem.
i agree that the amount of money he's offering is ridiculously large, especially when he's offered the other girl 4,500... but he did say i could have it in advance. i don't know the other girl that he'd be using, his art teacher (the one who's fronting the $$) found her for him. *shrug*
and technically, i wouldn't actually be BEING intimate, it'd just be posing.......... but i really don't know that i feel comfortable doing that sort of thing anyway. i really don't think i'll do it, although the money would be absolutely fantastic, and believe me, i need it. *sigh* but i've been considering a political career recently, so it's probably not the best of ideas for my future.
thanks for all the advice and concern, everyone! s all around!

*relieved*
Glad to see you see our points, sea.
Hmmm, so it's the art teacher of whom we should all be suspicious. Why would he/she put up that kind of money? Very odiferous.

I still smell a rat, sea. An academic prepared to stump up $13500 for something that could be achieved with a couple of hundred dollars? Hmmm. Do not do this. I have a very bad feeling about it.
