[Munchkin]
Bit chilly this morning. Went to see Bond last night. It had all the bits, but just didn't gel for me. Possibly trying too hard to be a Bond film and forgetting to make the plot interesting.
I have my tickets for the Two Towers and am all set. All the sneaky reports I have been reading seem to indicate that it will be just as good as Fellowship but taking a few more liberties with the story.

Back from Tallinn. Saw Hati. Very cool. Now have yet another version of my name on my visa: have given up entirely trying to insist that, actually, it's spelled like this. Still.
Dandilion and Burdock is a Super drink: try it immediately, Caer!

*gathers up the useful remains of the feast into a wheelbarrow and gets a bot to wheel it into the Workshop*
Matina, could I borrow a sharp knife and a pastry brush please?

Schools are closed for a snow day here at the Jersey Shore. We already have an inch on the ground with about 6 more expected over the next 12-14 hours.
And hubby can't get the snow blower started. I guess we shouldn't have bothered getting the garage door opener replaced.
*Makes a snow ball and tosses it at Caer.*

*Pushes snowball fighters out onto the terrace for continuity sake and then joins them there*
*runs to the end of the terrace where her studio is and bangs on the window* Amy! Come out and join the fight!
*makes up some snowballs and starts heaving them back toward the salon end of the terrace*

I too am awaiting the next StarTrek, MR. It looks to be the best one in years. TNN is capitalising big time on the impending movie and last night was showing every Romulan episode they've made. I'm wondering if Spock will make an appearance in the movie?

They close the schools for <12" of snow??!? You have *GOT* to be kidding me. The last snow day I remember was when we got 4 feet in 24 hours. And some people still went in to class.

[looks at the meager dusting of snow in Mid-MO, scrunches up a bit (enough to make 2-and-one-half snowballs, then picks his targets]
DUCK, Lil!!! [heaves one]
[reaches down and snatches the next up]
Marv! Here's to a blizzard!!! [chunks the next one]
Caer! [half-heartedly lobs the 1/2 snowball]

*Lobs a showball at B4, which whizzes over his shoulder and splats agains the salon window.*
Marv, it all has to do with road conditions and liability. Since we don't get snow on a regular basis, we don't have the infrastucture to quickly get the roads clear. And school administrators do not want to have to deal with lawsuits resulting from school bus accidents.

*having been told off for luzzing snowballs in through the staffroom window during her school days, aims well away from any open windows*
Here's back at you Witty!

I had a comment about driving conditions and idiots but it is lost in the ether with a proxy error.

[scrapes together another small bit of snow about the size of a golfball]
Yesterday was treacherous, with the season's first snow catching a lot of folks unprepared.
[whips the snowball deftly at Witty, catching her in the knee]
Score! [does a little jiggy dance]
The route to the Plant goes down into the Missouri river bottom then climbs back up a rather steep incline with a sharp curve at the top.
[bends down to get some more snow and gets boffed right in the tuckus from an unknown competitor]
Hey! [falls forward and splats into more snow; comes up wearing a white snow beard]
Anyway...[spluttering puffs of snow from his mouth]...I was following two other vehicles and when we got to the top they slowed down so much I had to down-shift. Mistake. The front end of the car started squirreling around and it took me a few moments to get it straightened out. Wound up in the other lane--thankfully no on-coming traffic--and it drove home the need for me to check into getting better tires, for the front at least.
[comes up with an armload of snowballs he's cobbled together while going on with his diatribe, and proceeds to pelt everyone (without malice, but with ConVivial-ity) that's within distance]
YeeeeEEHAAaaaaa!!!

*chuckling over the idea of closing school for less than 3 feet of snow*
I'm remaining in here. I promised myself a snowfree winter just once in my life, and this is it!
*looks thoughtfully out the window at the snowball fight crowd*
Matina, you might as well start whipping up a batch of hot chocolate. Those folks are going to need it.

[covers several panes of the window MR is looking out]
Hey, Montana! C'mon out! The weather's fine...
[puffs of steamy breath wisp around his head]
Yahooo! [lobs some more snowballs at Caer, Marv, Sporky, Lil, Witty...and hesitates just as Amy comes into range]
Whoop! No. I wasn't gonna throw this... Um, what snowball? [hides his hands behind his back and drops it at his heels]
