for Marv. I think I hear opportunity knocking, Marv. And Johnson and Wales isn't the only decent cooking school, you know.

Oh, to be watching Duck Soup instead of writing about the mode of production!

Thanks for the thoughts of silver lining.
Well by the time that I left work today I had taken 11 cases to the rest of the team taking 16 between them all (5 others). I think that I know my job a little too well.

I'm reading Jasper Fforde, his first book, "The Eyre Affair". Good recommendation, Munchkin!

I'm currently reading Stephen Brust's The Book of Taltos. I thoroughly hate how the book is put together (ie the form) and yet I can't stop reading it.

Sporky. I thoroughly enjoy Brust's books. I like how each of the Taltos books follow different writing styles. I have most recently read Issola (I think) and I am waiting for the rest of the series to be complete. The character builing that goes on in the series is fantastic. You follow Vlad through so many great adventures along the way. I especially liked the book (I forget the title) when Vlad meets Morrolan.
Now I have to borrow the series from my friend again. It would be about perfect for me to read right now.

Matina, dear, could you help me get rid of all of this? The paper is done, I just have to edit it, but I don't know that anyone really wants a pile of legal pages this big sitting around the salon!
Although it does generate its own heat....
*burrows back down only to pop up almost immediately*
does anyone have a red pen?

Becareful, the feathers tickle your nose if you get too close
Well, after all the predictions of snow for areas over 200m (we are on the lower slope of the North Downs, just above 200ms) in the E and SE UK, it is still drizzling It is 3.4C outside and we've decided to stay in and get some odd jobs done instead of going out to Hampton Court Palace.
