*through the door dropa a postcard depicting a very typical victorian gothic red brick town hall bathed in late afternoon sunlight giving the building an orange glow. The card reads Greetings From Dukinfield on the front*
Hello all at the Atelier
Just thought I'd drop a postcard to let you all know I'm still around and trying to sort myself out a bit. In the while since I last came found these parts I've moved out of Nodnol and back to Duk - just outside Manchester, England - with my parents. Still no job but there is a slight increase in the possibilities at the moment. Other than that life isn't too bad. I was taken to a very good bonfire and fireworks display (seems to help that the chap who organised it does it for a job ) the other weekend.
Keep the tub warm, you might never know when I will pop up
Later all

*ties to work out where the hissing noise is coming from on the rather flabby-looking dinghy so that she can utilise the gum*
I can't pin this leak down. I fear I may have to abandon ship.
Was that the post?

I must say, although feel free to ignore me, that today's weather (snainy: snow + rain) is perfect for a movie matinee or a bowl of soup, or if the relevant authorities would allow it, a bowl of soup at a movie matinee.

/* Waves to Phil */
Dreary, miserable, wet rainy weather here, a bit too warm for the season but getting colder.
Save the soup for Friday, MR. Are you bringing the little one to the big premiere?

That was actually FG, but no, I'm afraid that tickets here are sold out already. I think we'll go the next day.

Ha! The weather is turning out just as unpredictable as I tried explaining to Red Dog - wasn't that the 14th he was supposed to be in Stockholm?
It started snowing again yesterday evening - but the temperature also started rising, and by the time I went to bed it had gone from -7 C earlier in the day to -1 C...
...and it kept snowing all night, meaning the snowploughs were out very early to get their work done before the rush hour begins - nothing like the scraping of a heavy metal blade on asphalt to wake you up...
...and this morning it's +2 C, and it's still snowing, but it's wet snow...
*slides down deeper into the warm water, dipping chin, and starts blowing bubbles in the water*
...and the commuter train only had 4 wagons instead of the usual 8 wagons = crowded, sweaty and wet, with everyone dripping melting snow... and I had to run hell for leather to catch up with the short train befor it left (it's a very long platform)...
What if you make an eskimo turn, Amy? There ought to be bubbles showing where the leak is at some point during the turn...

You know what they say about duct tape!
