kelli - ran 2 miles a day for 2012, aiming for the same for 2013 Posted Feb 8, 2006
Glad to hear from you - sorry to hear life has not been treating you so well. I'd offer you a
but am beginning to wonder if I shouldn't go and get tested for the presence of H5N1 *cough*
Eddie had her op, which went well. She was very sorry for herself yesterday but seems much brighter today. She is NOT HAPPY about the lampshade she is supposed to wear on her head, bu happily because I'm off sick I can watch her instead to make sure she doesn't lick or chew her stitches.
Ben - did you get anywhere with investigating installing some form of microgeneration at home? I've been looking at wind turbines and I have heard it is possible to get a govt grant towards the cost of puttingone in. Even without the grant it should pay for itself in 8 years or so - considerably less if the govt contributes.
Anyone else looked into this?

Remind me again where she's got damaged, Kelli? If it's somewhere obvious, try clothing. When our mutt had his dangly bits off, I sewed him up in an old t-shirt to stop him licking. Socks work for paw injuries, too.

I think the lampshades are funny though! My old room mate's dog looked like a fuzzy radar dish. It was great.

That is a good idea, I'd need baby clothes though! The wound is in her front right armpit so she'd need something like a little long-sleeved polo neck affair like you see those odd pampered pooches wearing on the telly. Wonder if my neighbour has got anything I could have?
Will have to have a trip to woolies when we get them spayed...

What do you call a server that won't serve you? The same thing you call a boiler that won't heat. An overpriced load of manure.
It is currently 56ºF inside the library. And the heating tech is away on another call. The stomping around I'm doing is not because I'm throwing a fit. I'm just trying to get warm.
Amy. Hope things are going better again.

Oh, no, Hyp. How awful. Isn't modern technology wonderful?

The heating tech will try to be here around lunchtime. But my custodian may have figured out what is causing it. Or maybe not.

Meanwhile, is the library open for business? The computer folks are going to be pretty chilly sitting in their stations.
All our clouds are gone and the sun is out. Still no moisture. At this point I would even welcome .

No, we're still closed. I don't care if the public is cold or not, but I don't want them to keep opening the doors and letting the cold air inside. Our stinky trio (including Sexy Angel) from across the street might not smell quite as bad in the cold air.

And how is Sexy Angel doing these days? Any new romances for Valentine's Day?

Yep. Did you see their little magical circle they build in the front yard? They came over here and borrowed a book about Stonehenge. Then they tried to recrete it with some old used bricks they scavenged someplace. They didn't make it large enough for all of them, so they took one chair and put it inside the circle and took turns sitting in it.
They told me they really wanted to build a pyramid, but couldn't find any materials to use.

FG, I imagine our being closed is putting quite a crimp in Sexy Angel's Valentine Day plans. So, if she doesn't get a date, it will naturally be my fault.
