*Just had fun reading the latest Celery-based thread. Didn't understand half of it as he hadn't been following the adventure before that point. *

Well, as I haven't been following the plot, I'm not too sure who all the new characters are, and what the overall plot actually is. That and the fact that some people posted as one character under the wrong username (goodie logged in as a baddie).

Carmel Bunny, spokes stuffie for cute things everywhere Posted Sep 7, 2002
*from somewhere deep in the couch cusions comes the world's most annoying cell phone ring. Curiously, it seems to answer its self. A soft voice with a slight lisp speaks*
Carmel Hello? Oh, hello? Sorry, and I do hate to be a bother, really I do, but I was wondering if someone could tell me who I have to speak with to officially become a Salonista. I must confess that my conversational contribution hasn't been much, but I have adventured her several times and I feel that here my contribution has at the very least, and I really think here you might be kind and give me the benefit of the doubt, been adaquate. I only hope...what?...what, Blue Bear?...Oh, stuff and nonsense, I have to go. Do keep me in mind, thank you and take care.

*thinking that with all the experience that Carmel has from the adventures, she could probably just jump right in, even without testing the waters first*

would, if she were here, advise Carmel to write her own thumbnail description, justs as all the other salonistas had to do

Yikes! I've just heard some dreadful news!
Farscape, a very popular TV show (my personal favourite, next to Stargate SG-1) is to be cancelled, and won't make it into the fifth series/season. The Sci Fi Channel have, for whatever ludicrous reason, decided to pull the plug, and are actually going to demolish the sets next week.
Many people are up in arms about this. I know a few of you enjoy Farscape, so was wondering if you could sign the petitions linked to at the bottom of this article:
http://www.farscapefantasy.com/bad.news.html
Perhaps devoted fans could even write to Scf Fi? I certainly am.
Thank you for your time. You may now get back to your... bookmarking.

{[caer csd] I was sad to hear the news too. SG-1 may also be taking its last trip to other worlds as well, Prof. I'm still missing Dark Skies, that was a good series as well}

Yes, there have been plans to make season 6 of SG-1 (presently airing) the last, though rumours have recently been circulating about a possible seventh season and the elusive movie or two. Its end was not the choice of Sci Fi though, as Farscape's was (if they go through with the cancellation).

I don't know....I think they've gone about as far as they can go with SG-1. What was all that with Daniel at the end of last season, anyway?
I am patiently awaiting the start of The Sopranos. I've never seen it, but I have HBO free for a bit, so I thought I would give it a try. I am now hooked on both OZ, which is a bit bloody, but very well acted, and Six Feet Under, which I started watching only because I did a play with one of the actors in it, and realized it was a great show. Man. It's that good. I think I might have to actually pay for HBO now!

Candi - now 42! Posted Sep 8, 2002
Hello!
Can you tell I'm in a good mood?
The gig went really well, despite the headlining band ATV backing out 3 days before....
Lots of people told me they really enjoyed my set - apparently the music I'm doing now is quite accessible - my last recording has been compared with Brian Eno and Peter Gabriel!
Sold 4 CDs and 6 tapes.....two people wanted me to sign them.....then someone came up and asked me to do some more gigs at a CD shop in Leeds.......she rang me next morning to start organising it.
!!
I'm going to spend today trying to get the Candi Nook page at Fiend recordings.com ready to go online.....

Well done, Candi! (Glad to see my hosting's paying off.
)
I haven't seen the end of season six yet, but I gather Daniel Jackson dies in one of the later episodes. That's because the actor, Michael Shanks, wanted to leave the show. Something about not having enough scenes, I think. But he does return in a few episodes.

{[caer csd] Well done Candi! And MR has been in a production with a tv star! Six Feet Under has been popular over here too.
Prof are you watching SG1 on terrestrial tv? Cos I've seen those ones
No1 son came in at 3.30 am (not unusual in it's self for a Saturday night out) following a school reunion. It is only 4 years since they left, but apparently a lot of them have returned home following Uni and other stuff. He must have had a good time, he wasn't keen on going yesterday afternoon. At 11.15, he hasn't surfaced yet, so I haven't had the goss yet.}

Well, I never watch SG-1 on TV, I buy the DVDs. Cable get it all first, then the DVDs in Europe and then Channel 4 in Britain (and other European channels, I'm guessing). I read news regarding SG-1 though, so know what happens. (And I think the Daniel episode is on the DVD that came out last week, so I'll look for that.)
Oddly enough it never spoils my enjoyment on watching new episodes.
