So I create yet another alliance character on a RP PvP server - and get approached by a semi-litterate Swede (his English was absolutely horrible, I'm wondering how young he was - 10?).

And then my level 8 mage gets approached by a level 36 human hunter who just won't stop talking to me, despite my repeated efforts of explaining to him that this mage was created to let off steam! She's not smiley - bleep likely to get nice - ever!

But I express myself so well, he says...

Duh!

I blame it on my parents - not even when being in an extremely bad mood can I bring myself to be impolite, rude, mean...

Well, I don't have AVG Antivirus, rarely use the inbuilt stuff from Windoze and if I'm not sure about how a game's protection stuff affects re-installs/installs on another machine I will always contact the relevant people anyway... so I'm totally going for BioShock!

[zips in using Vergil's Air Trick move from Devil May Cry 3] Hey guys. smiley - cool

First, if you want to play Bioshock on PC, make sure your graphics card supports Shader Model 3, cuz if it doesn't, it won't work no matter how awesome your graphics card is otherwise.

That said, I'm not going to get it on principle (I don't have a 360), because of draconic security measures which inconvenience legitimate users (i.e. people who actually went out and bought it new and now have the CDs or DVD in their computer). It installs something that's a bugger to uninstall, which is frankly reason enough not to get it, in my opinion.

Okay... just finished playing the demo of Bioshock and have decided that the *only* thing which would stop me buying it is if the EULA required I sell my immortal soul to Old Nick himself.

Won't stop ya -- just, I still stand by my previous warnings.

I'm planning on getting a new laptop and desktop eventually anyway (my current laptop is not "wunderbar" for most modern games, even three year old ones like Half-Life 2, and is also slowly dying) ...

i've found myself purposefully *not* playing bioshock just so i can savor the experience longer. it is seriously well put together, though it is a shame about the drm (which, as i stated, isn't a problem for xbox360 owners).

since i've been trying to avoid bioshock i've started up blue dragon - i can't give any opinion on it yet, it's too early. in the queue? i have shadow of the colossus, dragon warrior VIII, and god of war II (which I've started but haven't finished, at no fault to the game just the console it is on; i like to keep one other console, other than the wii, out at a time) all for the ps2.

metroid prime 3 for the wii came out last week but i haven't had a chance to buy it yet (and will likely put it off for a bit, if only because of my current gaming queue, let alone the movie queue). anyone played it?

Eh, the only console I have is a PS2. And since I'm jobless, it's likely to stay that way for the moment. smiley - erm

Just popping in to mention that I'm now participating in the closed beta test of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (or WAR for short... no, I don't know where the 'O' went either).

However, I am also bound by an NDA so apart from the existance of the closed beta and my participation in it I cannot reveal anything.

Exactly... I'm actually quite exited about this game and don't want to even slightly risk losing my beta place so I'm not even going to let close friends have a go on it until the NDA is relaxed.
