3 weeks, hit 70 on Saturday evening. I had 1244gold at the time, so now it looks like I'll be saving up again for 5k gold.

5k gold?
My female human paladin is the first character I've created that only gathers materials and doesn't use them herself, but instead sells them in auction. I discovered this was an easy way to earn the gold needed for a mount long before she has hit level 40.

i cannot get excited about second life and find the persistance of media attention over this "game" which has such a low user base well... idiotic.
i always have a profession i spend money on and a tradeskill to get money. mining is the money maker for me.

Well, I've tried Second Life and didn't like it - for the time being, I'm sticking to WoW and Entropia (which is selling ingame banking licenses, by the way - they've already had advertising boards with RL adverts. Not sure I like this direction of development since I feel that Entropia is becoming less of a game and more like RL - but that's not why I play online games! I have enough RL *in* RL!

*sighs*
There's this really cool settlement in Entropia - Minopolis - with really cool buildings. Ever since I first visited the place, I've wanted to own a house there. I've been waiting forever for the estate deeds to show up in the auction - and a few days ago they finally did!
I decided to make my biggest investment in Entropia so far and bid up to around 1300 Entropia dollars, which would be roughly 1000 SEK.
It seems other found these houses attractive too - the estate I wanted went for more than 4000 Entropia dollars (400 US dollars)! Crazy... *shakes head*

I was in a lousy mood this afternoon (for various reasons) so decided to create a mean, evil and selfish character in WoW, an undead mage - I made it a 'him' and as ugly as possible.
Now, is this somebody you would trust, and believe to be kind and caring?
http://hem.passagen.se/kristina.r/undeadmage.jpg
And yet, while I was trying to be grumpy, minding my own business, refusing to join any groups or guilds, people *still* showed up to help me.
I got help killing mobs by horde players both above and below my own level.
A horde player 3 times above my current level gave me better armour and health potions, just like that.
And - to top it off - I ran into a ?? level human paladin (I was only level 8 at the time) who, once he figured out in which direction I was heading, tried to give me useful hints by posting one mispelled word at a time.
An alliance player trying to help an undead?
Oh, and after all this kindness being showered over me, did I manage to stay mean, evil and selfish? Uh - not quite - I posted some helpful info in the general chat
How does one manage to play an evil character when everyone around you insist on being nice to you? *gnashes teeth*

well. there's your mistake. you wanted evil and you rolled horde. undead on top of that. they're not even 1/8th as evil as humans.

Yup... Horde are fun, not evil.

i was in shadowmoon valley last night killing Doctor Maleficus - an undead doctor with crazy hair and a constant wheezing/cackling - for a quest and i couldn't help but think what a cutie he was and i felt bad for killing him.

Well I have finally succumbed to WoW, after a year or so of telling G I'd never play. I'm currently a level 7 Tauren Druid-having someone else who knows your racial quests is useful. However, I must learn how to keep on casting spells in a fight-dying 5 times in 2 hours is not good.

So are you saying that people are feeling sorry for my undead mage because he's ugly and are being extra nice to him? Oh bother...
Any good tips for beating a rogue in duelling? I hate the way they just go into stealth and then backstab you out of thin air, usually with some kind of stab which immobilizes me

as a mage, if you hear that stealth sound your first instinct should be to use an instant aoe. second instinct, if you can see their shadow, is to use frost nova. third instinct it to blink, icebolt, run, kill kill kill.
after lvl 66 it's a whole 'nother ballgame.

as far as druids go, be sure to train occasionally in thunder bluff and not moonglade.
i recently found out that i missed two druid quests, one of which was water form, because i had only been training in moonglade my druid is only lvl 28 but still, it hurt that i had missed them

Ti, it's all about AOE when you are a caster playing against a rogue.
As a rogue I have to be careful when getting in to fights with squishy because they can break stealth. Stun-lock is the most effective way to win against a cloth-wearing class. As they have the least amount of armor, they go down the easiest.
Sporky, I assume that you are talking about the "Cloak of shadows" ability learned by rogues at 66? I *love* that ability.

i don't. in it's current form it is too much. the timer is too low for one. for the other, rogues already have a good chance to kill mage types - they just need to get in range. having an ability that negates almost all damage (90% is as good as 100%) and lasting for the amount of time it does (5 seconds) is too much.
i think it should be used to remove any negative effects (including my bread & butter, dots) and placing them in stealth - which they cannot break for those very same 5 seconds). and it should be on a 2 min timer at the very least - i think 3-5 is more appropriate.
really, it should do what vanish is supposed to do.

It's been saving my hide in PVE. As I don't PVP anymore, I can't say as to it's effect.

area of effect - frost nova, arcane explosion, blast wave, blizzard, flamestrike, etc. are all aoe spells

Whenever I've told other players that I really enjoy the music in WoW, they all seem to think I'm a bit - but I *do* like it!
So, provided you're not one of many who turn off the music, what's your favourite WoW melody?
Mine is 'The Enchanted Forest' by Jason Hayes... (teldrassil.mp3 on the site http://www.wowguru.com/mp3s/ )

lots of people are bored by the repetitiveness of the in-game music, others have vent/other voice chat and still others prefer their own music.
i use vent for arena matches and the like (well, i listen in) but i still keep the game music on. i like the new music in the be starting zone but i couldn't really call any of it my favorite. compared to ffxi, wow's music is very bland.
