Quite like the Ironforge one, especially when it breaks into male voice choirs, Alliance Inns get on my nerves after a while. (Just swapped to a Human Warlock, think I prefer it to the Druid, also I'm actually getting the quests done at the right time, and the Murlocs are marginally easier than the Venture Co. IMHO.)

Ugh, I hate WoW's music. I turn it off.
I have now hit exalted with three different outland factions. My God, I am through grinding for a while.

SE Posted May 14, 2007
i haven't hit exalted with a single faction, anywhere.
i guess some people like to grind rep, some people like to grind pvp and others like to grind dpk

Has anyone here tried LotR online? I'm tempted to try it out after having read an article in Swedish, but the European LotR site doesn't appear to have any downloadable try out...

I've read about it but not tried it... the fact that all the quests tie in with the main LotR story combined with the fact you can't have evil PCs has put me off a bit.

The rep grind has begun anew since the most recent patch. I am hitting all the new content that I can.

Tonight, I received the nicest farewell phrase from a WoW GM ever:
'Farewell Magicflame, the power of fire and ice are yours to command, and the river of magic shall bend to your will.'
And yes, Magicflame is a mage...

I just took my first tentative step into the world of MMORPGs by getting City of Heroes. I'm liking it so far. Haven't played around with character creation much yet, but methinks I'll have fun doing so.

OMFG!!!!111!!!oneone
A new WoW expansion has been announced which raises the level cap to 80, has fantasy vikings in it, a Lich King, and even greater customisation options for character creation. Woo!

i am disappointed that they're raising the level cap so fast so i feel conflicted about this expansion.
then again, i am pretty bored and think that this last expansion left a lot to be desired.
ho hum.
does anyone here play on darrowmere? i have my normal characters on gorgonash but have recently started to play alliance on darrowmere - mostly because i want to see what the outland experience is for alliance.

I just hope that they fix melee dps in the next expansion. It' completely broken in the outland.

my only "high" melee right now (perhaps i should have put quotes around melee as well...) is my level 49 druid.
i don't know about the pve aspect of melee (though i've heard that a lot of the bosses are weaker to melee than magic) but in pvp, as a clothie, i think the melee are doing just fine. i can't count on 20 hands the amount of times i've been reduced to kibble by a rogue, warrior or big red hunter.

The scripted fights in the 5 and 10 man instances at level 70 often are designed to only have the tank hitting the mob. Melee will just die in close proximity to many of the bosses. Shadow Priests and Locks are the big bad DPS givers these days. Enhancement shammies, fury/arms warriors, cat form droods and rogues are getting the shaft.
For the Maiden fight in Kara, only three melee can be on her. Any more and her proximity damage will kill everyone.

Argh!
A reallly cute, kind, helpful, caring person in WoW has obviously fallen in love with my online self - and the reason I'm not saying 'virtual self' is because my latest creation is a male dwarph...
So what's my problem? Well, he's 21, and I'm 43, and I've told him that, but that doesn't stop him from calling me 'my princess'.
Obviously, I'm more 'entertaining and intellectual' than most of the players in WoW, but still...
And I'm drawn to him - of course I am, his level 70 bails me out of a lot of tricky situations! And he has made quite an impression on me, online.
So how do I do to fend him off? I don't want to ignore him - he's much too nice for that. But, like I said, I'm old enough to be his mother, goddammit!

i must say, i really can't comment. i don't feel a draw to people in-person, let alone online, so the very idea of someone hitting on me (which happens, oddly, but it usually flies over my head and occurs to me days later) let alone flirting online, well, eh.
is this on a role playing realm?
also, anyone playing bioshock?
The Gamers Conversing in the Computer Room
Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Aug 28, 2007
Yes, it's a role-playing PvP realm.
Funny that you should mention Bioshock - I haven't tried it myself but I read a very positive review in a Swedish online newspaper only yesterday.

I'm not a gamer... But I don't think I'd go for Bioshock
