*passes Amy a cup of camomile smiley - tea*

It might help the fretting.

Actually, I think it tastes so disgusting its got to be good for something, so pour it down the sink if you'd rather smiley - winkeye

Chemical fires in Texas...with evidence that the current administration killed a proposal to tighten regulation of a group of hazardous chemicals it seems it's burning mighty close to home, so to speak smiley - erm

I got the same error message. I'm downstream in the gulf stream, and swimming over the pond is rough today.

Castro's daughter was just on Fox news; speaking carefully, it seems. My father-in-law just returned from Cuba (his homeland). Most Murricans don't realize how good we've got it.

*enters and gets herself a cup of chamomile tea as well* Good luck Amy, I hope the news is positive!

Service has ranged from nonexistent to roulette, which it is now. Or else the Lil Artworks thread is jinxed. It's difficult to get to, times out, consistently kills my posts, and when I do manage to post nobody hears me anyway. smiley - cross

Vinnie has pneumonia! smiley - yikes But he is recovering, and both cats actually like the medicine. Limbo has a milder case, but Vin is the one who's been suffering.

Lil, I hope vinnie and limbo get/stay well. When 'Talya was sick she loved her medicine. That is the only reason I was able to keep my hands.

Don't anybody try to contact Earthlink for customer service for a while. I was just changing all my standing orders when the fire alarm went off. smiley - sillysmiley - weird

And that has changed my whole outlook about the past couple of days. These are ~interesting~ times!

Oh, and Vinnie and Limbo are at home. At first they were very disoriented and crept around, but now they are lounging, eating, and sleeping. All important cat activities.

Lil, isn't there a planetary conjuction coming up again? Perhaps its all that astral chaos that's causing it! I wonder which star sign its all happening in.

I have never had cats who like their medicine. I've tried all the tricks to get Sadie to take worming tablets, but she has always sussed them out!

Lil, interesting in the PTerry sense or the ancient chinese curse sense?

Glad to hear that Vinnie and Limbo are able to take care of those most important tasks.

Once upon a time as I was working late into the night on an evil case (took the case at 1000 Thursday got off the phone at 0345 Friday) the fire alarm went off right as I finnished the case. The customer could hardly believe it save for the ear splitting racket that I was shouting over.

My son has chicken pox. smiley - sadface He is whining and scratching all the time, poor little fellow. I hope he can sleep tonight.

Send some of that chicken pox my way, will ya? The state of California, in its infinite wisdom, has made chicken pox vaccine mandatory. Its too new, as far as I'm concerned, and am now trying to find a way to get my small person infected before we move!

I tried to get my son infected in February, when my brothers 3 sons had it - no success. Or was it hiding until now? smiley - winkeye
They don't vaccinate againt it here but it's easier to have it in childhood, grownups are not so good at getting through childrens diseases. smiley - tongueout

Fulfillment of the bet will have to come out of my next paycheck, Marv. I'm utterly penniless at the current time. In fact, tonight I will be having filet of shoe sole for dinner. smiley - tongueout

Speaking of starvation right now the TV event of the season is going on in the states. Partially funded by the fine folks I labor for Frontier House http://www.pbs.org/wnet/frontierhouse/ was inspired by the BBC's 1900 House two years ago. It follows the adventures of three families as they attempt to recreate life on the 1883 Montana frontier. Tonight is the last night on PBS, but it will be showing again later on in the month. If you like history, both series are true gems--a veritable oasis in the desert that is television programming.

I thoroughly enjoyed the re enactment shows, on Channel 4, I think. Currently its the Edwardian Country House, as long as I was 'upstairs' I reckon I could cope.

However that Frontier House looks way too scary for me! I hope it gets shown over here.

The American Museum is one of my favourites and gives a flavour of pioneer life:
