Too many loose ends?

I'm not used to rudeness and I don't know what to do about it, especially when I don't know the people who are being rude to me.

And, now that I've had a quick check and I don't think anything has been mentioned, crossed fingers for the job seekers as well as general freebie for anyone who needs it.

You're in the thread, Sporky. I don't want to start a war. But it's very difficult not to feel rather passed over and ignored, especially when I'm feeling bad about missing the opportunity to get an atelier graphic blobbed. I'm just feeling very, very out of the loop, and I guess I better not post anything for a while.

I was going to post something to the effect of "oh, that." But it sounds dismissive which was not my intent at all. Screw it. I'm saying it anyways.
Oh, that. It is a shame, /truly/ that the atelier was completely passed over. It seems a lot of personal favours were made in certain circles and those not in the loop (or even those on the outer fringes of the loop) were left out. Your Bruce monument and a few others were added, but perhaps your most known graphics, those residing on this very page, were left out. It doesn't seem fair. I wish there was something more I can say.

We love you, Lil, and have enjoyed every bit of your art before, during and after the foop. Poo on the uncaring.

I'm not sure I understand the art blobbing thing, I suppose I'm a little insular when it comes to the universe of hootoo. But I enjoy your artwork Lil, especialy if its of the cats.
As to the loose ends, are there any more books planned? I know its a trilogy, I don't want to spoil it for those still reading the books, but I felt is if the story was incomplete.

[:x] -- skipping the b'log since he's decided to write an article, do his homework and greet some new researchers.

The rules about blobbing kept being changed, Lil. And I probably upset someone by pointing this out (with the evidence).
I'm going along with this crazy categorisation process on the grounds that it's the best chance I have of getting my other graphics blobbed - Pierce's, aka's, Red's spaceship, The House of Relaxation, The Prof's spacestation etc. I thought I could sneak a small version of the Atelier one in with them. I'm sorry I got your hopes up.

Lil, if there is an appropriate place for we Salonistas to lobby I am more than happy to do so. As I have been out of the main h2g2 loop for a year or so I do not know where this debate might be taking place.

*hopes Lil will be okay*
Marv sent me his new addy. Now all I need is to check the complete catalog listings for Neil Diamond's fabulous body of work. Perhaps ebay will have a few overlooked gems...
It's a lovely day here. The temperature will be almost 70F (that may still sound cold for some of you, I know, but it's bliss when you live in a place with 6 months of winter) . It's sunny and somehow the leaves popped out on the trees almost overnight.

I'm not certain there's any point. I asked some questions on a thread I started on the page where the offficial blobbing database was being built, and not only were they not answered but another researcher has been quite snippy with me.
Me, the Doyenne of Netiquette!
Apparently there are going to be community artists and I have been passed over for the honour. What with my inferior connection, the difficulty in accessing H2G2 in the mornings, and the time I give to this forum, I can see why I personally might have become invisible to the powers, but this isn't exactly a johnny-come-lately club. While I might not rate being a Community Artist, I think the atelier logo ought to have been picked up. I don't understand the criteria by which art was recognised at all.
I'm also sorry to see the CLI Float passed over or gone missing or something. I diplomatically did NOT mention the Dangermouse float, since it features the persona no longer grata image of Mike A. No wonder if they binned that. But come to think of it, Mike's on the Cafe float, which made the cut. And the picture of Titania with Mindspring, that's passed over too. Not to mention Styx's portrait!
Back when I was still caregiver to my stepdad, and trying still to have a social life and do karate, I happened to drive by the dojo one evening and saw the cars of many of my friends parked outside. I stopped and looked in, only to be told by my sensei that the others were gathered for extra practise for belt testing, and as I hadn't been progressing enough in his view, I wasn't invited, so I could please excuse myself. And how I felt then is sort of how I'm feeling now. Blue and sorry for myself.
So while I choose to vent here in the atelier, I don't want to cause too much ruction out there. Evidently a lot of new societies are pressing claims to have their art recognised and the Italics are trying to enforce a space limitation.

It's not a snub, Lil. Some stuff got blobbed because some researchers either didn't have webspace to store it or didn't have the technical skills required to upload it. Nothing of mine got blobbed before the foop and nothing has since except for the commissions for the Post. And when it became apparent that folk were using the Post to bypass the rules, blobbing for the Post was stopped too except for Researchers offering to write long series. I got a really rude email about accepting commissions even though people had been encouraged by italics to ask me. And then the rules were changed again, I tried to slip a few graphics through in the apparent window of opportunity but I wasn't quick enough.

Your contribution to hootoo goes way back, Lil...you volunteered your talents, helped beginners and added a much needed dimension to the site. Out of respect for you I won't go rant in another fora because I've not contributed a tinkers *** and they can deal with me they as they wish. Maybe you are better off not having your art identified with ------(fill in the blank).

Amy, your explanation of the process is entirely acceptable.
I feel better for having had a little unintended exercise just now -- the horses got loose so I grabbed the longe whip and let off a few satisfying cracks (take that! whippersnapper!) while we herded them back in.

Reluctantly, reluctantly.
Penultimate painting class tonight. Man, I want to get into watercolours, now! Amy, do you have Painter 7? Or you, Sporks? I just got the new build from Corel and will install it Saturday (I'm going off on a field trip tomorrow, with the Historical Society so I won't be online till evening), and I'm going to take an online course with the eclectic academy just to learn about the new watercolour features and brushes. Apparently they're quite different.
