Greetings all. This is the longest I have ever gone without posting to a new forum I think. Nothing really to comment on the backlog that I have read (sorry, just taking to long to read it all today). I will try to get through the rest in due course.

Hullo, all!
SLC was wonderful this weekend. I think that I will enjoy living there very much - once I get around to moving, of course. I am still trying to get used to the now humdrum existence here in Denver.
Matina, some please. Thank you.

*Panting.*
Whew, should get the bulk of the coursew*rk done this evening, so I'll have more to offer the conversation tomorrow.
In the mean time, I agree with Sporky about the pronunciation of Linux and Cecil. It probably ought to be 'lynn-ux' (with a short, sharp 'ee'), but I honestly don't care.

I've always thought John Denver was underrated

The best version of a John Denver song I ever heard was a reggae rendition of "Take Me Home, Country Roads"
It went (feel free to sing along):
West Jamaica, mountain mama
Take me home, reggae roads...

In his younger days, John would have looked quite trendy in dreads. And, I suspect, it wasn't only the mountain that was 'high'.

Country Roads was in the UK charts at the end of last year by some group called the Hermes House Band. I think they might have been Dutch but it still was terrible.

amy.
did i tell you all that one of the girls in my suite has had her boyfriend living here for the last 3 weeks? *rolls eyes* i'm starting to get tired of it, especially since she didnt' even ask me if i minded. PLUS he was supposed to only be staying for a couple days.
the two of them sleep on the couch in our common room. i'm afraid to leave my room/come home between the hours of midnight and 6am, for fear of walking in on something i dont' want to see.
i'm considering complaining...
Key: Complain about this post
