Yay, someone else remembers! Like Dangermouse, it was totally wasted on kids. I loved the way each episode opened with a line like 'Space....where will it end?'
Much to our relief, the garage door and wall where still in place on our return, but the door won't shut so No2 son has put a chain through the door and bolt ring to stop it flying open. We shall have to do something about it soon though.
Had a phone call this morning from a firm in Geneva looking to raise venture capital, I was inordinately flattered that the business looks so healthy, but also sad as we shall be putting the company on ice for a while as H is so involved in new projects outside it.

Sorry, UH, I don't prescribe to the Mentos Theory in Grudge Matches.

I pronounce Linux as lyn-ucks and Linus as Lie-nuss
Cecil is pronounced as Sess-cell unless they are named Sea-cell.

Good morning y'all! *is wearing moccasins to protect feet from stray splinters* Caer, welcome back, and glad you had a good time in Paris!
After letting the water trickle all night, during which it reportedly dropped below zero again, I have an unexpectedly warm kitchen -- gas fired water heater probably had to work during the night to keep up with the demand. It seems such a wasteful way to protect the plumbing. These people haven't heard of lagging!
I'm off to get on with my homework, gluing bits of coloured paper together for the Renoir collage. Quel occupational therapy!

It's always nice to wake up to a warm house.
Better still when you don't have to wake up at all, though.

"Sea-cell"?!
yes, lil, the same roommate. i'm really pissed about the mess she made in the freezer... the nerve! grrrrrrr.... dump her? i'd like to, but with so little left in the semester, i don't want to throw myself off with a reassignment.
i guess i should stop complaining if i don't want to reassign... *sigh* she's just so WEIRD!

Yes, Sea. One great thing about having to suffer through the worst is always being able to later compare to bad situations and see that you don't really have it that bad anymore, or something.
Hope the day works out, Caer.

*meanwhile, in the library, Lil has discovered that she left her glue stick uncapped overnight and is now struggling with her FTP server, trying to get another folder uploaded*

Ah the joy of collage. My sister has a large pick and stick version of one of the Manets (or is it Monet?) waterlillys in his garden. Very good it is too. A friend of theirs who does it as part of his living did it. A soft and fuzzy look (it's done with pieces of coloured felt) at a soft and fuzzy picture.
