Welcome to the Atelier! If you are new to our forum, I hope you read our forum page, at A304354 -- there you will find out more than you realized you needed to know about the salon and its contents.
In this conversation, we will be playing the SUBJECT HEADER STORY game. Conversation will continue as usual in the postings, but the headers...
We are going to write a story together. You will find the cast of characters and a few rules immediately below. I will lead the game off after the initial inrush of salonistas is over.
The Cast
1. Maurice the Seaweed Merchant (Marv)
2. Theodore Bannon, an older "gentleman" with a penchant for younger women
3. The Draft. (a wind entity, not a military function)
4. Agnes, a zombie masseuse
5. Hank Honk - the Security Goose.
6. Booger Bulger, a chicken sexer and part time honeydipper.
7. Mothra Stewart - Defender of The Cosmos, Knitter of Small Socks
8. General Public, a retired military man of questionable mental acuity
9. 'Digits' McPearson - a Glaswegian pickpocket with a lazy eye and no depth perception.
10. Tiddles P, The untrained housecat.
11. Albert Ross, a seedy, middle aged, ferret breeder with a waspish wit and an outrageously, camp wardrobe.
12. J.C. Cones, reformed space pirate now renowned for his piloting skills
13. Gloria Mundi (with thanks to R.Rankin), vampish actionwoman
14. Various salonistas
The Rules
1. No use of "Meanwhile".
2. Only the hostess may state "The End".
3. Please adhere to grammar and respect the verb tense of the sentence you are building on.
4. Meaningless interjections are not helpful, regardless of how clever they may sound in your head.
5. If you do not wish to participate, please put ellipses in the subject header. Other participants please be patient if a non-player forgets this and accidentally repeats an earlier entry. Ignore the faux entry and carry on.
6. Inevitably, there will be simulposts; build on the last entry you saw before you hit 'reply'; it will eventually sort itself out.
7. This thread will be shorter than usual, but the hostess isn't saying how short.
OK? Well, while you've been reading all this, our maidbots have cleaned up the salon and washed the cups and glasses, and we're ready for another chat. Please make yourselves at home.

Mea Culpa... I missed a sentence in Lil's opening post. Feel free to throw things at me.

That should cool Marv's impetuosity. The grammar in that beginning was also terrible. Clashing verb tenses. Read the rules!
Azahar! I think you've been here before, haven't you? But it's been so long that we may as well welcome you all over again.
