Sure, sure Witty, blame Zeppo! He would never do that, and besides, that was my excuse.
/* Takes Witty's homework out of Zeppo's mouth, and slides it onto the card table */
For some reason, I had an easier time describing myself as Capt. McLellan. I don't suppose I could reuse that here.

Only one hour in?! It's 9:48 in the morning, I'm still here in my pj's after getting up extra-specially-early at 8 so that I could do homework!
Why does soy milk break up in coffee?? It looks awful!

Cafram
Because your coffee was too hot when you poured it in (same goes for powered milk)?
[BB] off to bed as he is on the opposite shift, it's 01:15 here.

Ah, BB, you're so wise!!
It doesn't taste /that/ bad, b17, and it's better for you...it's nummy when they make it in shops, but icky when I do it myself
*checks the sky again*
Hmm...definate rainclouds...must get washing in before it gets wet all over again! This load has been on the line for three days so far

Fogot to say hi to Dr. MO. Now that you're the new guy I'm not. I'm not as grateful to you as I normally would be because they don't treat you like a new guy here.
They may ignore you now and then, but that's just from hacking through the backlog.

Hello there, Doc, and Mac, I think I may have missed you. So hello to you both.
Eats, just wait. On Saturday last, my little one (well, okay, she's 5) cut off most of her hair. Once they become mobile, look out world. And just wait until that driver in front of you cuts you off and you swear, and then this little voice in the back seat just repeats what you said. And you can't laugh, because that would just encourage the behavior. Might I recomment you go and do lots of stuff now, while they sleep 20 hours a day? And while you can strap them down, or satisfy them with an oral fix? Really. I'm not kidding. The movies, church, the opera, theatre...but sit near an exit, just in case. The smaller they are, the easier they are to transport.

I just got a giant shipment in from Amazon dot commerce. Got my new camera case, some filters, and a whole bunch of dvds (The Alien Legacy, a Björk single, True Lies, The Fifth Element (Superbit), Waiting for the Guffman, Orlando, and the Goonies). Pretty weird selection, but it works for me (Orlando is my favourite movie ever, I think).
The goonies was pretty good. I never realised how short a movie it was.
(feels like the kid at show and tell who wants to show off all his toys)
I've been watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer from the very and enjoying it immensely, but last night my experience was made all the more worthwhile; I was introduced to the band Cibo Matto. Great great stuff. Most of my work day was spent downloading their songs .
Has anybody watched Heartbreakers? That is the funniest movie I've seen in ages (DVD version has 22 minutes of excluded scenes- including a particularly good scene where Siggy is playing scrabble with Hackman). Skeptics: rent the movie, then judge.

Nice selection there Sporky. Heartbreakers was hilarious. Ms Weaver was particularily stunning That scene after the wedding where she drops her dress and is wearing that all in one stockings/basque thing was so funny.

She is in fantastic shape. I'm sure if she was here she'd ask us all to feel her ass (as she so delicately puts it).

Well tonight I got my best game of the season so far. 184 168 142 was my series.
Watching the Colorado Edmonton game and it is a nailbiter.

One would have to say, Sporky, that would be an offer definitely not to refuse
Congratulations Marv. A good score all round
Who's winning? I just bit all my nails and can't afford to lose much more.

Alas the dreaded Oilers won against the Avalanche.
Oh well. Tomorrow I get to go shopping for the dinner that I am going to make for this weekend How to Host a Murder that a friend of myine is hosting. Boeuf Bourguignon is the main course with a rice pilaf side dish.

Is it really only just over six hours since my last post, no wonder I don't feel awake today.

My postings say 7 hrs, but I know it's 8 hrs... and considering I got out of bed 2,5 hrs ago, I obviously didn't get much sleep...

Morning all! 9.30 here, beautiful start to the day. Going to be 21C, don't you just love British weather? We are having a late Indian Summer. No frosts likely this month in the SE.
Eats, Its wondeful having kids! Yes, I can still say that whilst sitting in the car so that No2 son drove his girlie home at 11pm, in the dark for the first time! This is the son who practically had a permanent place booked in the A&E depart at the local hosp! We have had our ups and downs, but they have both grown up into wonderful young men. I think the main thing as a parent is to keep calm and retain a sense of humour at all times!
However, I don't want any more. As lovely as they are, two is about all I can cope with!
