Bumble - do you think mothers ain't wet?
Cafram - it's October now and the only flowers I have are asters, they really look a little like toilet brushes.
And you can always try alabaster...

Quite a few of the top American/British bands etc that were booked to tour Australia/New Zealand over summer have cancelled because of 'fear of flying'.

that caused us some problems, too. we had a big rap act that cancelled on us... but i'm happy, because we booked a rock band in their place. woo hoo! well, they're KIND OF rock...

Congratulations to Eats, enjoy the junk food while you can.
And yay to Glasgow and the Clockwork Orange. I miss the ability to fall asleep on the underground and yet still get to your stop whenever you wake up. (The Clockwork Orange is a circle)

Congrats to the Eats family. Do we give wishes now or at the christening?
If we are talking public transport, which in my very breif trawl of the backlog I gathered we sort of are, then by far the best metro in the whole world is the Moscow Metro. No really. I defy anyone to prove me wrong. You may get the better of it on one or two points, but overall, no way.

As I've not travelled on the Moscow Metro, I can't comment.
It sure does seem like the tube is the oldest underground/metro system in the world sometimes
(oh look the tube drivers are stiking on friday, how nice )

Well, if you imagine everything bad about the Underground, then the Metro is completely opposite to that.

Oh shush. Stinks indeed. Compared to the Underground, this is a small insignificant quibble. Anyway, I don't think it does... Help, my sense of smell is going now!
