Riiiiight. OK, so you might have given The Big M's a hard time there. smiley - winkeye
I'll stick to writing forwards, as I haven't had any phlog. smiley - winkeye

Half-term hols start today. Sorry, did I say hols? I meant WORK! Grr, I've got so much revision, it's insane! Still, I'm just thinking of those ten weeks off I'm going to get at the end of it all...smiley - drunk

Heading off to Nottingham tomorrow for my new cousin's christening, so I'll be away over the weekend (the reason my CompliGram to replace me while the GalaGroup Elections are on will arrive in two days, not immediately).

Hi Chris, indeed enjoy the christening. Big party afterwards?
Never been to Nottingham, so can't comment on it, but I am sure it will be good. Hope the weather holds for you smiley - smiley

I'm off to San Beta now with the Space Station. My CompliGram (PCT3) will arrive in a couple of days to take my place, and will reside in the Ministry for Science & Technology, within the spacial vortex where the Space Station currently is. I might report back from time to time, but if you want to keep track of what I'm up to, you'd best check out the following link for a story detailing what the Elections are all about... http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F58935?thread=117300 Wish me luck in keeping my title as GalaGroup Overseer! Toodlepip! :-) *Teleports to the Station......* *A few minutes later, the Space Station Big C withdraws its defenses, and enters hyperspace bound for the outer rim of Milky Way, where the wormhole to San Beta awaits him...*

Morning all. Update on yesterday's earthquake. It was 6.2 in strength and, because it was pretty deep, didn't cause any damage.

Lonnytunes - Winter Is Here

After reading the backlog, I have a question.

Why are people who help solve problems with computers given somewhat grandiose titles?

The work they do is little different to that carried out by people who fix problems encountered with TVs, fridges, washing machines etc.

Loony, I've been told on many occassions that the length of the title is inversely proportionate to the importance of the person who has it. smiley - winkeye

Because if you called me a network repair man I would feel less of a man. I like my title. It is part of the arrogance of the trade Loony. We all need to feel important and our ego's would not like think that we are the same as the great unwashed.

Shouldn't we get rid of that thing now?

I think I've missed a great opportunity. All day long I had a pet god and the only thing he did was give everyone here a ham bone. If I had trained him better we could have had some real positive change in the world.
