Wow, you can get a lot of work done if you are there three hours early. I got 18 cases closed this morning. 66 to go.

What's wrong with us gentlemen? There must be something wrong, because doing the right thing most often kills any burgeoning relationship in my experience.

*Shudders at the thought of a drip for 8 weeks*
A house trained beast who washes his fur regularly and knows which way the toilet seat should point is essentially the way to go.

I am once again an uncle. My nephew was born at 12:20 this morning, 7lbs 1.5oz, 20.5 inches. He was not due until 10/12 but the doc decided they were inducing.

I shall always maintain that it's less effort for women to put the toilet seat down than it is for men to put the toilet seat up.

I have 4 strapping sons, but still managed to lay down the 'loo seat' law. Quite simply, as I'm the one who cleans the loo, I have the say as to where the seat is left........and if anyone leaves it up, they have to clean it. Needless to say, the seat is ALWAYS left down!!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. And sorry for whining yesterday. But this hugh whine was just sitting there in the back of my head insisting on attention.
I do feel better this morning. My pillowcse was all yucky with ooze and blood and ointment this morning and will likely need burned. But the oozing has stoped and the pain is less. So, I'm on the mend.
Yep, scalp wounds are painful. But they also heal fast. So I guess it balances out.
And everyone - don't worry about the test results. It isn't a melanoma. It's just squammous cell. So no biggie. If any of it is left, they'll just do it again and get the rest of it. Skin cancer runs in my family. It's the only kind of cancer that does. Mother has had melanomas twice and about a thousand basal cell and squammous cell places taken off. And several of her siblings have had them. And my older sister. Very fair skin (they're all redheads) and too much sun. I have the darkest complexion of anyone in the group, so am hoping that I won't have as much a problem. But, this has taught me that I need to wear a hat when I'm outside in the summer.
Speaking of hats, I found some for a dollar at Wal-Mart! Can't beat that with a stick.
Congratulatory s for those who have good news and good luck s for anyone who needs one and just general I love you guys s for everyone else.

Happy uncledom, GDZ! I'd love to be an uncle, but my sister and my close friends (where I have a chance of being an honourary uncle) are resolutely child-free.

Ooh, took far too long to write that. Glad the head-thingy is less scary than it sounded, Hyp.

I was getting worried as I plowed through the backlog, that there were no posts from you until the last moment. I'm glad you're feeling better, Hyp.

Well apparently the key has arrived from Citroen, so I will pick it up this evening. The next question is whether or not my diagnosis was correct and I'll only find out this evening when it either starts the car or doesn't.
I am feeling crotchety and wingey, having to do a lot of walking around in the rain this evening, with tights that want to kneecap me for some reason.
Still, hopefully the key will work and I'll be able to go to Bristol this weekend.

Pah! I have *knees* that want to kneecap me!
Yes, three days later I still hurt. I think this must be a new record for me.
