s and for Hyp.
Saw Land of the Dead last night as my anniversary treat, Mrs. D isn't into zombie films but she thought I'd like to see it in the cinema instead of waiting for it to come out on DVD.
The ending seemed a bit too feel good but they did have Tom Sabini who played the leader of the biker gang in Dawn of the Dead playing the same character but in zombie form! Didn't manage to spot Simon Pegg though.
One more thing: Giant squid!

I hope you are feeling better today, Hyp, and that the painkillers start to kick in. Don't know what they gave you, but some take two or three doses before there is enough in the body to do their job. But make sure you take it easy today, you will probably still feel sideswiped.

My stupid mobile company sent me a text at 0300. I have not been able to sleep since. Hmm, I guess that I will go have a shower and get in to work early and perhaps work on the many headed beast that is my backlog...

A for Hyp.
A for Marv, now that I've read all of Unshelved, which is a joy.
Ten pints of blood for Titania, as I've started my life as a vampire.

I hope you're feeling better soon Hyp.
The doesn't normally have a problem finding my blood and I don't have a problem giving the blood to them either.

Oh poor Hyp, gentle . Scalps just don't know when to shut up with the hurting, do they? I once cut my head on a book-shelf and everyone was telling me it was teeny and there wasn't even a bruise and it didn't even need stitches and I KNEW demons were getting busy with a corkscrew on my skull. Lots and LOTS of sympathy and I hope you did/ do get some sleep (time-zones I could never get the hang off. When it's 3 o'clock in New York, it's 1956 in London etc...)
Veins. I am incredibly lucky. I have a nice firm easily findable and very un-rolling-away one in the crook of my left elbow. Just as well, as I've been asked to go donate another pint sometime in October. I shall probably STILL spend the morning before running about in small circles squeaking 'needles! needles!' because I'm neurotic, but really, I'm easy . I was looking at my helpful vein the other day and noticed a little patch of skin about half a centimetre in circumference all over tiny craters (I was regularly drained of an armful as a student too). So I even have a target for the inexperienced to aim at (and I get dastardly smug when that moving 'without this woman my sister would have died....' advert comes on the telly).

For Hyp.
Mr. D - when you said you were going to indulge Mrs. D. last night, a Zombie film wasn't quite what I envisaged.
When I was preganant I was on a drip for 8 weeks. If I was a good girl, they would take the drip out a weekends (because my veins were splitting) and allow me home for 24 hrs - it was like being on day release from prison.

My building is actually very noisy. I have been working for a while on my backlog and the building is quite creaky and noisy. It's only 10 years old...

We'll just have to catch up tonight.
It'd also be nice if the pressie I got her arrived sometime this century.

You mean no indulgence and no Pressie?!! Poor Mrs. D.
Girlies do like a bit of spoiling, especially on Birthdays and Anniversaries.

Pressie should have arrived last week. E-mailed people sending it to find out what the bloody hell's happened.
"Indulgence" should be go tonight, my parents are taking us out for a meal but my mum might die if she's up later than 9pm (or at least that's the impression I get, she's always saying about how she cannot stay up later than later than that).
