Hmm, that'll be either Virgin or Southeast, via Basingstoke
and takes about an hour or less...
But I've found the Reading, Guilford, Portsmouth route is more reliable... and that doesn't take too long...

But London Waterloo to Portsmouth 'll take about 1:45 and from Padington'll take about 2hrs...
And this time make sure there's a roof nearby...

So who's gonna do one of those cutaway versions of the photos with a number on each outline so you can tell who's who?
I'm kidding.
No, really!

I loved your cake. Delicious and made me feel better after the rain. Thank you.

would you beleive it if I told you that cakes aren't my forte and I much prefer doing main courses?

Phil Posted May 14, 2000
Good point about the cake, let pastey know about it. The cake was great, no great isn't a good enough superlative for the cakes you brought AEndr Thanks for the cake.

Pastey is on this thread, so he should know if he checks it.
And I think the cake was better due to the wetness of everyone around it.

I think more people ate cake in the pub than in the park.

Dancing Ermine Posted May 14, 2000
Quite possible, we were less distracted by things like softball games oin the pub
That way we could get full enjoyment out of the cake

Sorry Ændr, I didn't get to try the cake, but it sounds good.
Am I the only one who can write your name properly as well as say it?

Bluebottle Posted May 15, 2000
A very good question. I can write Ændr, but as for say it, I'm still not sure...
But the cake - well, the cake made the day. I think I preferred the lemon, which was very lemony. My hand still hurts from catching that softball, though.
