My ticket got some odd looks from the station staff at Marylebone. I don't blame them either smiley - bigeyes

I had a good time yesterday though and I am happy to have met you all. Bizarrely none of your voices surprised me, it was as if I had known you for years smiley - smiley

Some were unexpected but certainly not odd. Most of them seemed perfectly appropriate for their h2g2 identitysmiley - smiley

The Fish

Hi guys...

It's really odd how you can tell someones voice by how they type...

Obviously apart from Mad Hatter's... considering many people used to think she was a bloke... smiley - smiley

I think her voice was the only one of mine that was slightly surprising (but even then not much.)

But it is very weird...

Phil(travel agent etc...) was unexpected, but more Crusader and Abi.

I sort of had Abi down as a slightly scottish lilt, oops. smiley - smiley

It was definately a memorable experiance...

Those people in the Mitre must have gotten quite worried when 43 soaking wet people descended upon them... smiley - smiley

Abi was one of the stronger "correct" ones. Her voice was very expected smiley - smiley

Pastey was another strong right as was Shazz.

Shazz was definitely one of the more expected ones smiley - smiley

And Demon Drawer as well.

Excuse me for pointing out something fairly obvious here!
I left before the rain. You all got soaking wet and so did your shoes, and your tickets and your clothes. You have detailed it all here.
Now, there were about 40 Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy researchers gathered in one place (a historic event I think), but.....
DID ANYONE HAVE A TOWEL? smiley - smiley

I left with a lot of others at 2230h or so... I don't know about the very last.

And yes I did have a towel. I couldn't go along to a h2g2 meeting without one, now could I?smiley - smiley

I also had a coat. I was prepared for British summertime smiley - smiley

Good thing we didn't play cricket though, it would have started raining earlier smiley - winkeye

Actually, my voice yesterday was a bit surprising to people who knew me too... I had a really sore throat and am croaking today... so maybe it wasn't so strange after all.

When I got back to Bath, I discovered that it hadn't rained at all here!

In fact, no-one believed that I had been in the rain! Kinda begs the question of what the hell they thought I'd been doing to get that wet. smiley - smiley

Still, it's been hot and sunny here today, and I have done nothing but sit in the park, drink water and read a book. And browse h2g2 while wearing my funky new h2g2 t-shirt!
