USA needs to Import Humor
TowelMaster Posted Aug 4, 1999
If you insist :
1.
One day I got on the usual bus, and when I stepped in I was the most gorgeous blonde Chinese girl...I sat beside her. I said 'Hi' and shen said 'Hi' and then I said 'Nice day isn't it ? and she said 'I saw my analyst today and he says I have a problem'. So I asked 'What's the problem ?' She replied, 'I can't tell you, I don't even know you'. I said 'Well sometimes it's good to tell your problems to a perfect stranger on a bus.' So she said 'Well my analyst said I'm a nymphomaniac and I only like Jewish boys..by the way, my name is Denise. I said 'Hello Denise, my name is Bucky Goldstein....'.
2.
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before...
(Thanx to Steve W.)

Heimlich Manouevre Posted Aug 4, 1999
Yes, Steven Wright is definite proof that the US have their own humour! *grins*
Does that end the debate now?

Caleb Posted Aug 5, 1999

Heimlich Manouevre Posted Aug 5, 1999

Tricky chick Posted Aug 5, 1999
O.K!...so,nobody likes Seinfeld expect me?!?...actually,as a frenchman, I probably don't get everything.
I think it's great! He knows exactly the thousands little details that makes life annoying. And he knows that we
know.Even if every episod is built on the same principle,it's still surprising and...well,I like it.
SÅ HÅLL CHEFTEN NI JÄVLA IDIOTER!!! (something to win for the first that can translate that.I'm waiting for the answer
at my home page).

excuse me. does anyone happen to know if it is possible to stop a forum such as this one from jumping back onto my page every time that someone feels the need to continue this thoughtless debate regarding something as stupid and mindnumbing as television? you see, i originally made the mistake of posting something here over a week ago and am now living to regret it.
btw, life happens. in fact it's going on right now just outside. outside. yeah, that's the place just beyond the walls that human animals insist on surrounding themselves with.
just a thought:
it is disturbing to think of how many people read something (i.e. a book written by an author by the name of...oh, let's just say...douglas adams) without having a clue of what it is saying and then suddenly feel compelled to join a particular site on the internet via their newly acquired qualifications (i.e. i've read it) and begin to chat about something as useless and shallow as pride in a particular landmass or some stupid flag or the benefits of being a world power as if they had anything to do with it. it's as if this becomes their identity or something. furthermore, i'm sorry if this offends any americans in particular but i just don't make a very good one. i just have this moronic thing that i do. it's called thinking.

you're breaking my heart!!! Seems to me that if you were so worried about it you wouldn't have written an essay saying how much it bothered you, you would have simply ignored it.....

TowelMaster Posted Aug 5, 1999
I really don't know what you're talking about enigmaniacs, I'm just joking, I think that is 1 of the goals on a forum about humour...
BTW, have you any idea how many Americans, Russians, Italians, Morrocan, etcetera, etcetera people live in Holland ? There is no room anymore for nationalism except perhaps on a 'sports-'field.
Now that we've settled that can we please go back to exchanging jokes/anecdotes/etc..?
Yours faithfully
the always polyrically incorrect TowelMaster.

You can have my hug anytime Towelmaster..... though you probably don't want it.
By the way, did you know that an error message on Windows (spits in disgust) says 'keyboard not found, press any key to continue'. Could we adapt it to 'sense of humo(u)r not found, laugh to continue'? Just a thought...

Humour vs. Humor

Heh.. Actually it was the other way 'round, but who's keeping score?
Don't mind me... I'm a Merkin too... I've just hung around with so many Ozzies and Canadians and UK-ites for so long that I forget sometimes and think I am one.
(Okay, so maybe I really am... Or that part of me that isn't "Native American" ... (Or for the not so PC, "Indian" ))

Just another example of how our senses of humo(&/or)ur can be very much alike...only with different titles. Titles are bad! Down with titles!!
Who is Samuel Clemens????
