Yes, Labor Day is just around the corner and I got a hunk of bad news. I have to go back to the salt mines on the day after, 9/10 to be exact. Blaaa. Oh well, I've still got jury duty on the 23rd and I still will be required to vacation before years end. Glass is half full.

Correction: I have to go back to work the 10th of Sept. which is the Tuesday a week after Labor Day. Whew! On one hand, I've had (what some would call) more than enough time off (been out since the begining of June) and my job is hardy difficult (it's just time consuming since they expect me to be there). On the minus side, the 12th is my birthday and I have to be at work! Caca.

Well, it's either that, or marry rich and you know what they say about people who marry for money: They earn every cent.
To my mind, that's worse than working!

yeah, i've been dating a rich guy recently. I don't think I can do it. I'm just so used to dating little punk rockers, etc...which i think I do because I don't want a serious relationship cause I am in love with a guy in another country...I just feel wierd dating someone who has so much money

Nothing wrong with marrying someone who has money. That isn't the same as marrying someone BECAUSE they have money. I'm not sure what you do about being with one person while you love someone else. Hope it works out well for you.

well you go thru periods of misery, anger, detachment, yearning..i try to hold on to the detachment for long periods of time then have short bursts of eager longing and lust. it has worked so far. i am planning on going to visit in the next few months.

God it hurts just to read that. I am still in love with someone who left the country for almost a year. Unfortunatly for me, it got worse when he returned because then he wouldn't speak to me. Ugh. I'm going to stop before I start to cry. I suppose the attention I lavish on the dogs, the squirels, the pond, the fountains, the gardens, and everything else around here is my way of dealing with him. It's harder to miss someone when you're engrossed in making a dog townhouse with Italianate archtectural influences, a squirel is demanding to be fed more peanuts, and another neighbor is stopping by to show someone your yard.
On the bright side, it's got to end sometime. I've always got the sweet release of death to look forward to (at my age and with my family history that will come in a scant 50 or so years.

I just try not to think about him too much, of course the pictures everywhere don't help. I talked to him last night though and am starting to plan my trip, already have asked off of work, now i just have to make sure his schedule with his new job coordinates with me being there before i go buying a plane ticket. everything will work out, everything happens for a reason...the glass must be always half full!

Thanks for the optimism. I guess it's too soon for me to leave the anti-depressents I started taking the month afte he left. I'm glad you get to be with your guy. I envy you the ability to make a phone call like you can't imagine. Hope everything is perfect for your trip.

Thank you. Today went better than I'd hoped. Maybe because it's my birthday and my modis operandi is to not tell anyone until the day is here and then go around demanding people wish me Happy Birthday and then go back to my desk and call people demanding that they wish me Happy Birthday. Then I send out emails demanding that people wish me Happy Birthday. So lots of people wished me Happy Birthday. Pretty soon I'll go home and call my family and demand that they wish me Happy Birthday too.

You are more than welcome to the Church. Do you want to be a saint or a deacon or something?

How does one become a saint? If it's not to much work I'd like to be one.
