I always found gravity more effective than cellotape, in the days when I owned a 12 string.

*Waits patiently with trombone in hand*

*Does a "Douglas" whilst waiting*
*realises that I've just filled my trombone with sticky gunk*

*fishes about inside guitar*

*gets hand stuck in sound hole*

*Grabs hacksaw*

*runs to other side of room with guitar dangling from arm*

*upgrades to chainsaw*

*pulls frantically*
