I think this is going to be it for awhile, although I'm sure there's lots more to be had in the Flea Market for anyone casting about for a subject
Original PR thread: F2139561?thread=655361
I fit in what I could from the suggestions there, and open to more suggestions, of course.

Very good Milos - you've dragged in all the stuff from the first thread I think.
My only problems are in the first paragraph. Firstly I'd change G&T's either to Gin and Tonics or to Champers - not everyone will know what G&T's are.
Then, in the same paragraph, I'd say that "even though" should be despite which.

Changed G&Ts to cocktails
Yeah, I wasn't entirely happy with 'even though' either, I just had forgotten to do something with it. Thanks!

>>Gather in as much of the line as you can before you cut it, this might come in useful.
- might come in handy.
Also, before this, all that stuff about being wet and freezing vs dry and freezing: sounds like the person is limiting himself to northern cruises and Titanic-style events. What about mediteranean and Caribbean cruises? Freezing doesn't come in.
>>If it's rough, the sea-anchor will also help to keep you stable, or if not it will stop you drifting too far from the wreck site. That's essentially what 'streaming' is, so be sure to do it!
-if the sea is rough, not the anchor
Very optimistic ending. Nothing there about drawing lots for who gets to be eaten first, I see.

Ever been in the sea at night ? 2 miles from land ? It's not very warm, even in the Caribbean, muscle cramp sets in - you drown - cold kills, even without feezing.

Nice piece Milos, sensible and accurate.
Small comment regarding "Set watches" I understand, having spent over twenty years in the Merchant Navy, but maybe you should explain it's about who sleeps when and who mans the radio, lookout etc. Fours hours on four hours off or, depending on how many survivors, maybe two on two off.
You could have everybody synchronising their wrist watches

Leo, your corrections have been made. I did leave the wet freezing/dry freezing bit in for the reasons McKay gave.
WA, the 'set watches' part was from the original author (which I realised I had forgotten to credit - fixed now), and actually I had thought it meant 'synchronizing watches' . I've tried to clear it up some, does it look better?
Also, my office is being remodelled at the moment, and my access to a computer isn't consistent. Please keep making suggestions and I'll get to them as soon as I can
Thanks guys!

Just about.
"it should be pre-set at an international distress frequency"
Should it be pre-set 'at' a frequency, 'to' a frequency or 'on' a frequency? Anyone?
