To make accents, upside down exclamation points and question marks you hold the alt key whilst pressing a series of numbers on the numpad on the right of the keyboard:
Alt 0191 = ¿
Alt 0161 = ¡
Alt 130 = é
Alt 160 = á
Alt 161 = í
Alt 162 = ó
Alt 163 = ú
Alt 164 = ñ
Alt 165 = Ñ
Hope that's helpful...if it even works...

Thanks for these - the trouble is, they tend not to work in h2g2! For acute accents (the only kind in Spanish, since grave accents aren't used), Windows users can hold down the AltGr key and press the vowel. But for everything else, we have to resort to copy/pasting from Character Map...

Well, at least, they don't tend to work for me in h2g2...

Hi, I am currently learning Spanish using the BBC course 'Sueños - World Spanish' and an American course 'Learn in Your Car'.
I have also just come across the Pimsleur course.
Please share your learning experiences.
