Cat-Eyes: No..... why.... ? Posted Jun 7, 2004
No. It was definately Christina and Lil Kim and Pink and, now that I think of it, Mya and some background rap by Missy Elliot. I can picture them in the film clip. God those wigs were bad...

***
But I'm sure that All Saints sang it as well... later on, maybe?

I've got the All Saints version on cd, but they're just using the chorus from the original song, the rest of the text is some new stuff.

Salut mes amie!
Hello my friends! I am Kat and I can not remember any french on the whole, but because I am the "editor-in-residence" i think I should at least try.
French speaking people please correct others as you go...

Nouns agree with their gender and number, so that should be 'amis' because you're talking to us all
Try '...mais parce que je suis une Redacteuse...', meaning 'but because I'm an Editor'
Otherwise, that was fine

Where is everone? Why is there nobody to talk French to me?
I found the accents on my keyboard but I keep forgetting them so made a special effort for that sentence...it's probably wrong though

Mon Dieu!
okay, my French is getting worse...
I'm too late to complain about how bad the french played football. I had even made a bet that they would be European champions!

Mel
***************************************
Never mind, the English didn't play well either!
A little introduction is necessary I think:
My name is Helen but on HooToo I prefer to be called Mel, I'm studying Electronics and French and I have just finished a placement in Caen (France). My spoken French is fairly good but my grammar is terrible, I would really like for you to correct me when (not if) I make errors!
I don't read French novels but I'm in the process of finishing a book by Terry Pratchett in French I really like reading stories I know because I can better understand the French that way!
At the moment I'm at work in Cambridge during my holidays, I'll finish here at the end of Augusr and pick up my studies a university in Guildford. I have forgotten many of my subjects during the last year and I must work hard to recouperate all that I have lost I'm afraid
Well, until later,
Mel

***
I also like to read Terry Pratchett books in French! At the moment I have 'De bons presages' (Good Omens) and 'Les petits dieux' (Small Gods) - I've got these books in English too so it's easier to understand them!

Sorry, I don't have my French keyboard set up at work so there are no accents, it's all because I'm lazy
quand je fais..? I was certain that the future tense was needed after Quand in French, that's why all the French say things like 'when I will be there' in place of 'when I am there' when they speak English
Thanks for filling in the 'little but important' words I always forget!
Mel
