OK then, at the request of B'elana the Very Confident here comes a corrected version of post 35, (with accents smiley - winkeye):

Mel

***************************************
Never mind, the English didn't play well either!

A little introduction is necessary I think:

My name is Helen but on HooToo I prefer to be called Mel, I'm studying Electronics and French and I have just finished a placement in Caen (France). My spoken French is fairly good but my grammar is terrible, I would really like for you to correct me when (not if) I make errors!

I don't read French novels but I'm in the process of finishing a book by Terry Pratchett in French I really like reading stories I know because I can better understand the French that way!

At the moment I'm at work in Cambridge during my holidays, I'll finish here at the end of August and pick up my studies a university in Guildford. I have forgotten many of my subjects during the last year and I must work hard to recuperate all that I have lost I'm afraid

Well, until later,

Mel

********************************************

And I believe it is a very convenient method to learn a foreign language to read novels (or comics smiley - erm) you already know. To read a story whilst looking up a dictionary thrice a sentence is discouraging and you cannot properly follow the plot.
