OK then, at the request of B'elana the Very Confident here comes a corrected version of post 35, (with accents ):
Mel

Never mind, the English didn't play well either!
A little introduction is necessary I think:
My name is Helen but on HooToo I prefer to be called Mel, I'm studying Electronics and French and I have just finished a placement in Caen (France). My spoken French is fairly good but my grammar is terrible, I would really like for you to correct me when (not if) I make errors!
I don't read French novels but I'm in the process of finishing a book by Terry Pratchett in French I really like reading stories I know because I can better understand the French that way!
At the moment I'm at work in Cambridge during my holidays, I'll finish here at the end of August and pick up my studies a university in Guildford. I have forgotten many of my subjects during the last year and I must work hard to recuperate all that I have lost I'm afraid
Well, until later,
Mel

And I believe it is a very convenient method to learn a foreign language to read novels (or comics ) you already know. To read a story whilst looking up a dictionary thrice a sentence is discouraging and you cannot properly follow the plot.

post 42 >OK then, at the request of B'elana the Very Confident<
Hmmm, Very Confident ? In which aspect ? That you would be horrified enough by my 'corrections' to do them yourself ?

I meant you seemed to have great confidence in my translating skills

Well, certainly, as you are a native speaker for French, you are predestined as translator
( especially as it's nearly 20 years that I haven't done any French )

Thanks! I left a message at the French Helpdesk.
I can’t find Loup D’Argent though. Is he (she?) a researcher?

Loup is a researcher, he's quite busy with all sorts of things, he's listed in the 'written and researched by' on the help desk where you just left your message

Hello!
B’Elana is right! I was very busy with my studies. But I have time during the weekend.
Today the weather in Austria is beautiful. I’d like to go for a walk in the afternoon. And the weather in Czechia and Germany? I hope you have fine weather as well!
See you later!
