Well the good thing about being in that cage for so long is that there are many more lovely ladies in town now and no Baron DuBois to rule the town, the people trust Craxus, I understand it took the people a long time to build up the trust but now they now look to the guild for help, we've had our problems, attacks from the Dark Allience, the death of the King, power struggles within and without, but we are coping, you will find things a lot better now

*A small silver tabby cat jumps onto the bed and looks at Degron"

[Masky] Well aren't you going to introduce me

Yes masky, this is Degron Hapt, I've been healing his injuries

*She hands Degron some clothes*

*Dagron pulls himself out of bed, dresses, and then tries to climb out the window*

*Hears an noise, on entering the room she see's Degron trying to escape, she pulls him back in*

What are you playing at, I bring you to my house, heal your wounds, treat you with kindness, try to explain all that you have missed and this is how you repay my hospitality, whoever taught you your manners need to be repremanded, now what is going on

*Waves her hand to ice up the window*

Do you want Patricia to find you, she will if you leave this house without me

How am I to know what you say is true? Patricia is probably dead by now and you just want me as your prisoner. Or she could be controling you, or better yet, you could be Patricia is disguise, here to torment me while you think up some new torture! Or maybe 'tis all some elaborate fantasy, my mind having finally crumbled under insurmountable terrors. All I know is that where ever I am, I'm just as trapped as I was in that cage!

*Sighs*

What I have said is true, I am Lady Shaylar Kareen, this is my house in the outplace of Oane and Patricia is alive she has been seen by several guild members, but all I ask is that you come with me to Imardin and rediscover your past, let me help you I promise you, I only want to help you, I have sent for my steed and she will take us to Imardin, you can find your house, you can even go back to your family home if you want, but remember Patricia is still out there

*Squeezes Degron's hand gently*

I must leave for a moment, one of our magician's is outside the outpost walls I must wait for her, Please stay here, Patricia lives near by, this house is protected by magic if you leave she will find you.

*looks down at his hands*

*finds his way to the kitchen and tries eating, finding the food has no taste*

*Dagrom sits in a chair to think*

*Masky comes in and jumps on to the arm of the chair

[Masky] Have you considerd it may be a spell cast by Patricia, My mistress is a good woman, she is not going to hurt you, this is no illusion it's real

*She puts her paw on Degron's arm and rubs her head on in*

*looks down at Masky*

[Masky] I've always been able to talk............well to magicians anyway, I was born at the exact same moment as my mistress, I am part of her and she is part of me, all magician's have a familiar I'm sure Mistress Patricia had one too, I think you have been alone to long I think, you have forgotten your magic

I don't remember having a familliar, and I never learned to use my magic for anything more than turning grapes and souring vinegar. My parents didn't often practice magic because there wasn't a need.
And speaking of needs, I've got to get out of here.

*walks around the rooms, studying the furnishings and fixtures*

[Masky] You must wait for my mistress, she will take you to the guild, I know she called Byzantia here but then she got a call for help, please stay here, you are safe here my mistress won't hurt you, maybe Mistress Alicia or Master Craxus can give you a few lessons on how to use your magic wisely

*goes throught a desk's drawers looking for a key for the door*

*Masky sighs*

[Masky] so leave and let Patricia put you back in that cage

I will! Oh, I wish there was another door.

*a door suddenly comes into existance where there was once a small window*

Wow. Does that happen often?

*tries the door but finds it is also locked*

[Masky] That's new

*kicks open the new door, opening a portal to the Realm of the Dead*

*closes the door and pushes a sofa in front of it*

I think we were better off without that new door.

*the door disapears, replaced by the original window*
