*Polonius rides towards Kalsho and realizes that he is behind the orc force*

*takes out a spyglass and sees the people on the gate*

*launches a signal flare made from an empty wine bottle, a chopstick, and gunpowder wrapped in a tight tube*

*tries again*

*Lumien sees the , and watches it intently.*

What's going on out there?

*waves a tweed flag*

*Lumien leans out, trying to get a better look.*

I can't tell who that is, but he hasn't got a lick of sense! He should be finding cover instead of waving flags and sending up flares! Chandra!

*Chandra lands beside her. Lumien takes a piece of parchment and some lead, and scribbles a note to the tweed stranger. It reads "Find cover in the trees before they see you!" Lumien hands it to Chandra.*

Take this to the man with the tweed flag. And go the long way around. I don't want you getting shot.

*Chandra takes off, and begins a long circle around the army.*

*Chandra flies in low from over the treetops, and drops the note just in front of Polonius's face. She pumps her wings, and disappears into the trees on the other side of the road.*

*reads the note and rides into the trees*

*summons Timmy*

Timmy, take this message to Lady Swift on the gate; "What can I do back here? I have some weapons and a bunch of deadly charms."

*timmy memorizes the message and flies the long way to the gate*

*Chandra soars back to the gate as Lumien watches the stranger ride into the trees.*

Whew. That was a close one. *Turns to Chandra* Who was that, anyway?

The shop owner? What's he doing here?

Oh, so he's a magician as well! I see!

*Lumien watches a tiny parrot approach the gate.*

*Timmy arrives at the gate*

[Timmy] Lady Swift, friend Polonius in the field says, "What can I do back here? I have some weapons and a bunch of deadly charms."

*Lumien thinks for a moment.*

Tell him to stand by. The High Council is working on strategy up here, and we should have a plan momentarily. And for gods' sake be careful!

*Turns back to superior magicians.* Did you hear that? It seems we've got a man down there.

*Looks out towards the attacking force.* We may have several. I sense the corpses from a great battle fought here about three hundred years ago. I could raise them from here, and they would be able to intercept to orc force. It won't stop them, but will slow them, and probably take out a few units.

*Lumien is a little unnerved by the fact that Lord Kazinishi won't look her in the eye, and it shows a little bit as she offers her hand for a handshake.*

*checks potions and charms, puts Charm of Invisability around neck*

*Shakes Lumien's hand.*

*Lumien blushes slightly. She's still not entirely used to the idea of getting respect.*

You might want to talk to Lady Alicia about those corpses. She could help. I'm more worried about the one that's still alive.
