<<What's a caltrop? <-Some sorta spiked-mine???>
[Ecg]: "I've never seen those before..." He says, backpedaling. "They look rather nasty to step on though." *Tries firing at Thurin with the chain-grappler to pull him closer (without going over the, cal-thingies,- mind you).* "Can we fight unarmed yet?"

: Got it. Now can somebody please tell me what a caltrop is?
[Ecg]: "I bet you know plenty of good unarmed fighting... nifty gizmos-ASIDE!!" *stepping on the caltrop thingy broke one of Ecg's sandals.* "I made those sandals... carved them myself" *puts his fists/dukes up* *kicks the other sandal off...at Thurin, knowing full well that it probably won't work that simply* "Now, can we sparr unarmed?"

[Thurin] I never fight unarmed lad, I can't I have weapons built in that I can't get rid of. Also, trust me, you're safer if we keep using weapons.
*thurin grabs hold of the chain thingy and pulls with most of his might*

[Ecg]: *Oh, he must mean the werewolf stuff* *Shudders, reeling* "But, I don't wanna use my Kunai, Sir,- It's pretty hard not to kill somebody using them." Ecg says, shrugging,-to let go of the grappler*

[Ecg]: "I really didn't want to have to resort to using them" *pulls out a few kunai* "Do you know why they are-double edged?" Ecg says, *placing them comfortably in his hands,-since these are something he grew up on/with.* "It's so that they fly straighter!" He says, *Flinging one towards just above Thurin's head... to make his own little point.*

[Thurin] Right, time out ok? I'm going to turn my back on you and if you try to attack me then I will hurt you.
*thurin turns around and moves his cloak to one side, revealing three distinct, but relatively shallow scratched down the back of his armour*
[Thurin] See those grooves? They were caused by a red dragon holding me down with one claw and trying to evicerate me with the other. Your weapons more likely to kill me than that?

[Ecg]: "I don't understand you magic-using folk... then it turns out also, that I'm one." *throws another kunai, this time a bit to the side of Thurin's leg.* *grabs somemore with his free hand* still weaving a bit w/some footwork*

"Um, say what?! A ... I thought they were just legend. you mean like a sea-serpent or a wyrm, right?" *Is quick to apologize... his ears still vaguely wringing with the sound of his own shouting* "No, well, okay, maybe a bit less." *Shows Thurin a star-shaped scarr to the side of one-cheek.* "I have a scar too... it's from a war... when I was still that young prince's retainer..." *it is obviously from some sort of knife-fight*

[Ecg]: "I thought they only did that if you tried to take their treasure... was it controlled by a Dark Magi?"

Thorn Posted Dec 16, 2005
*throws the kunai down onto the ground, bandolier and all* "I don't want to kill you though." *You'll notice that Ecg did not have any armor on from the start, (aside from that bandolier, with the knives in it counting as some type of extra 'reinforced' layer... almost).* *refuses to use more throwing knives at Thurin, and instead picks the halberd up again* "...You know?" *waits for when Thurin is ready.*

<You are? That sounds pretty bad. All because I'd been posting too much,-too *feels um, bad* <-Yes, I'll remember it Reefgirl,-I didn't exactly mean to clutter it all up,-inside my own head must be cluttered enough, so I'll just need to make a certain extra effort to be less wordy/verbose & I will, ?>
