*thurin coninues to wait just inside the room*

"Oh,-I see... this is probably another test."
*Makes as though about to leave by turning on one heel,-then abruptly does a 180 degree turn and dashes into the room*

"Gee, Lord Thurin, my-what a nice blade you have" Ecg says. *pokes the tip of the sword away from himself* "Who crafted it for you?" *Ecg finds himself still at swordpoint*

[Ecg unagi]: "Not to be or sound disrespectful or anything, Sir, but... What's your game [then]?" *takes a step back, so that he is not as close to the bladetip* "Is this your way of saying you want to fence with me?" *wonders where his other long-knife went*

*thurin grins, bearing all his teeth*

[Thurin] Not exactly, I'm supposed knock some humility into you. Oh and of course it's a nice blade, it's a demon killer and fancy and fine as your blades may be I doubt they have the tensile strength to withstand parrying my full force blows with this sword, so I shall go easy on you. If you try real hard you may come out of this with nothing more than a fractured rib or two...

*Thurin pauses as if in thought*

[Thurin] Oh, did I ever tell you I don't much like mages?

[Ecg unagi]: "Ah, well then,- I suppose you aren't going to take me up... on that offer,-For " *Ecg cries out using his halberd (that has a metal handle, to block the chop* "This'nes made out of a steely variation to "ironwood"... it's a family heirloom." ~This one is my fault, um-how?~

*Ecg becomes momentarily distracted while still in the "sword clench" with Thurin* *He tries to throw off Thurin's concentration though, by asking some more questions (to make up for it)* ", Does Lady Shaylar,-can she teach people how to make blades-like-that?" ~Huh?-Huh huhhuh?~

*this isn't the best time for some "soul searching," but...* "Am I a demon? Does that make me a ?" Ecg asks Thurin...(who as so far is the only one to have seen his pointy ear). *Shifts his angle of incline in the sword-clench,-and tries to push harder.*

[Ecg]: ",-but I don't Care Mr. Thurin! No-sir I don't!! Monster or not..." *Yells "I hate the D*rk *lli*nce!"* *feels a bit better*

*thurin lunges forwards against the halberd, gripping the shaft between the blate and quillions of his sword, before giving his sword a little twist locking it in place and steps in to Ecg*

[Thurin] at this point I would normaly give you a little poke with this

*a fist dagger has somehow appeared in Thurin's other hand*

[Thurin] shall we try that again? and this time try not to get dead quite so quickly

*With that thurin disengages his sword and uses the flat of the blade against the halberd to push Ecg away*

[Thurin] Oh and talking your oponent to death is not a recognised form of combat

[Ecg Unagi]: *Wipes a tiny bit of sweat off his eyebrow as his back thuds against the wall* "Oh,- kind of like those sensei!..." ~From when I was little/younger~ *throws down the halberd* "While, If you and I are both seen by other people as "monsters", then I'd say we have a bit in common, eh?" *jumps into an alert crouch, while simultaneously whipping out his chain-grappler and the longdagger* "Well?..." *moves around Thurin in a circle, most nearly in a crab or monkey like kind of way*

~Just like the sensei~ Ecg sends out *while he blocks a punch*

*With his free-hand, Ecg clips the grappler to his belt rather quickly and returns the punch with a rapid volley of his own* "You weren't kidding Sir..." Ecg says, as he *notices that most/nearly all of his punches were blocked just as quickly*

[Thurin] Better, keep your distance

*Thurin unhooks a pistol bow from his armour and rests his sword against his thigh*

[thurin] But how fast are you?

*Thurin cocks the bow using his own strength rather than the built in ratchet and loads it in the time it would take to cock using the ratchet*

[Thurin] Are you faster than this?

*so saying Thurin takes a guess at which way Ecg will dodge and fires the bow, aiming at the shoulder on that side*

[Ecg unagi]: *he was just toying around with me... I wonder what sort of stuff he can really do...* *throws the longdagger down and tries to disarm Thurin with a Shrinkage (or is that ShinKage) style unarmed taking on of an armed opponent technique* "Have you ever read swordbooks from the Takuan dynasty (Lord Thurin)?" ~Guess who I served under,-sometime...~ *throws the sword down* "Can we fight unarmed?..." ~I'm getting almost bored~

"Hoy-Guh!" *Ecg says jumping over the arrow-cartridge just barely in time.* It cleanly nicks a hole-through his trousers though. "Hey, ...I like those pants!"

*uses the grappler to swing himself,-upwards*... knowing full well that Thurin-would most likely expect him to veer toward one side. *!!!* "Hyhhh..." *Does a falling axe kick* "Now can we spar, unarmed?!" Ecg asks, nearly incredulously. The bow is lying on the floor beside the sword. "I bet you know some pretty good martial arts..."

[Thurin] Worry more about your own safety than what happens to your clothes

*with that Thurin throws several hand-fulls of caltrops on the ground around Ecg*
