h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

<Alrighty then.>
[Ecg]: "Well, Maybe if I think of it like fighting, (just not with arms and legs)...As an extension of/to my body???" *Tries out a simple punch.* Nothing. *Throws a kick.* Not much. *Goes into an attack form kata combination* He starts out slow, building speed as each new repetitive pattern gets added onto the form sequence. By the second to last of the forms, he can sort of almost feel what he thinks might be the magic energy, but darest not stop just yet. *Goes into some spin kicks, eith blocks and punches in between.* The next part is jump kicks. By the time he reaches the jumping-spin kicks, on his last one, *Ecg produces a quick gust that splashes water out of the pool.*
He is about to go into the last part where he does the bow, but then *he falls down, surprisingly exhausted.* *gasp, pant.*

Stop showing off, you're not impressing me, now show me how you use and control fire

[Ecg Unagi]: *Catches breath & gets up* "Yes, Ma'am. , here goes one more time. Hyhhh..." *sticks his hands out as though he were handling an invisible or imaginary sword.* "..." }fwoosh{ "Is this okay?"

Not bad, now try air

[Ecg]: "Alright. How's this?..."
*Tries out making a miniature tornado.*
*A sweat drop trickles down the side of his brow as his brow begins to furrow* *Gotta stay focused & need to keep concentrating.* "...Hyhh" *Ecg manages to get the little cyclone to stay there for about 5 seconds longer than he could control the path of the fireball.* "...I'll practice harder."

*Mutters*

This is gonna take a while

Don't try so hard let it come naturally, try earth

[Ecg Unagi]: "Oh, ..." *punches downward and generates a wave of sprouting rock crystals.* "There's other stuff to right..." *Um, just something, anything, please work...* *tries to do something else* The ground in front of him releases enough moisture to make the floor slippery, but it yields a circular dry path whereever he walks.* "That was kinda tricky. What's next?"

*Mutters*

This is going to take a lot of work, the boy's an idiot

Ok to the library and books for you to study, when you have mastered Basic elemental magic which you sadly seem to be lacking we'll move on to some of the outposts where you'll be able to be surrounded by each element

[Ecg Unagi]: ". Thank you Ma'am, I will try my best." *goes to library.*

*Ecg's familiar Eal pokes up from one of the drain pipes to a fountain.*
~Grand Master of elementalism Lady Shaylar, I presume? I'm here because Ecg realized that he had forgotten to ask you which s it were that he ought to look up. He left in pretty good haste due to Embarassment with his lack of... I mean, he's probably too proud to admit or tell anyone, But young master Unagi never learned magic, at least, not magic proper, such as casting spells & this is his very first time. He does happen to know a little bit of alchemy, which he had learned from one of his mother's relatives, but that too (, nothing exactly 'stellar')...~*

*Looks down at the eel*

Oy now you tell me, I'll find him in the library and find him a book, I don't want to leave him alone in the library as nasty things tend to happen to young mages in there

*walks in, after enjoying a nice 12 hour nap* I need some practice. *looks for his master* Were are you? I need to show her some new things I learned on my trips.

*thurin enters and quickly steps to one side of the doorway, drawing his sword and waiting for Ecg*

[Ecg]: *pauses* *Something about this just does not seem right* *tests the door-hinge*
(thinking aloud) : "Hmm... definitely not the door itself... perhaps something about the room, then?" *Without really pausing to see if anyone is already in the room he recklessly tosses a pebble*
(then to Whomever) ~I hope that I didn't hurt anybody or break stuff,... Lady Shaylar might feed me to some monsters-next I suspect* *gulps*
