*entrances to the tunnels can be found in most of the areas of the city...there are passages containing the drinking water supply of the city's population, and also tunnels leading deep into the ground below Imardin in a maze.*

*there's the sound of a splash, someone landing in the sewer tunnels...and the softer sounds of someone moving through them*

*Lycan drops down and listens and then follows the splashing trying to keep as quiet as he can*

*the splashing stops when Lycan drops down, and veeery slowly starts again*

*lycan stops and concentrates*

*a large amount of rats eyes stickup and move to the path infront of the splashing*

*the noises stop and the rats seem to find nothing, they return to their former places with slight confusion and blurred vision*

*lycan knows from the rats nto seeing anything that he may be deeling with a mage and so carry on proceeding with caution*

*the noises have stopped entirely, and the sewers are seemingly empty*

*lycan stops deadly still and draws his new longsword*

*the silence is crushing...a faint light seems to start glowing in one direction*

*from the other direction comes a blast of fire, hugely powerful, directed at Lycan*

*lycan remind calm and dives into the sewage*

*the sewage starts to boil*

*above him is an exit, should he want to take it*

*he sheaves his blade as he jumps for the exit*

*catching it he swings out into one of the other tunnels*

*Elandra drops down into the sewers, into the tunnel with the bioling sewage, and jumps, pressing herself against the wall and out of the reeking filthy boiling stuff*

*a ball of lightning sails through the air and hits the liquid right by her, the shocks travel across the walls and over her and she lets go, her arms twitching*

*she grabs her amulet, which is glowing brightly, and draws one of her swords, which glows birhgtly, illuminating the sewers extremely intensely*

*the sewage cools down, the other mage's attention drawn by the bright light, and Elandra swings into the tunnel opposite Lycan's*

*she nods at him and twitches slightly*

*climbs slowly downwards into the tunnels, her black robes a slight camoflage in the deep shadows*

*nods back at her*

~~how do we proceed?~~

*to both of them* ~~Alicia, stay up there so he can't see you. Let me try something...~~~

*She fires an arrow diagonally towards the source of the magic, and it's destroyed by the mage*

*she thinks for a second, then calls out*

What? Are you afraid? Come on, you are confident in your superiority, are you not? Fight us!

*the voice comes back, echoing and gravelly*

[mysterious mage] two against one? I think not!

*she laughs, taunting him* Come on...you know you want to. One of us is a mere caretaker!

[m.m.]*the voice seems to be louder - therefore closer* and the other is a warrior...

And you're afraid?

[m.m.] I did not say that...*still closer*

oh, but you implied it,

I have never won a fight in my life,


I don't think that will change today

*Elandra moves silently, and angles herself so that her voice echoes around enough that it's almost impossible to properly ascertain her position. She also tries to throw off her position magically.*

He's right, you know. I've known him for years. He's never beaten me once.

*the mage is now visible if you strain your eyes in the darkness*

*the mage moves forward slowly, trying to magically feel where Elandra is, and is almost directly below where Alicia is hiding above*

*stupidly... possibly jumps the mage *
