h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*Wolf enters the tunnels, calls one of the rats over and after a few moments leaves the tunnels again*

*Goblinoids under the cover of an illusion from a Drow enter the sewers after attacking some oxen and stuff*

*Aaylia, Vlain and Isca approach the sewers*

[Aaylia to Vlain and Isca] ~~Right, I'm guessing they're using an illusion to keep themselves from being seen. This means they have a drow with them, but there are definately some goblinoids too. Neither of you can pull down an illusion or know how to look for where the ones under the cover of an illusion are, so you're going to have to listen to me. Get out your blades. We're going down, and I'll direct you to where they are. I'll try and get to the drow to cause the illusion to come down so you can see them, but before I do you're going to have to rely on me to tell you where they are. Any questions?~~

*Isca nods several times but says nothing*

alright

*gives isca a reassuring pat on the arm*

*draws her sword*

~~Both of you are strong willed, so if you're close enough to someone you will be able to see signs that they are there. It will be easier to look for their blade. Once your blade has hit theirs you will find it easier to see. Try looking out the corners of your eyes, you may be able to see glints from their blade~~

~~Let's go. Keep your blade out and TRY to not make any noise. I'll cast an illusion when we go down to stop it looking like the opening has opened and to stop any glints from our blades, but I hope you can not make any noise and cover any you do make yourself. We were working on stealth earlier, try to use those skills now~~

*Casts illusion as described before and climbs down into tunnels*

*Vlain and Isca follow and Aaylia closes the hatch behind them*

*Aaylia leads them down the tunnel*

*Isca uses magic to muffle her footsteps as she follows close behind Aaylia, dagger in hand*

*follows aaylia down the tunnel, trying to keep her eyes peeled and look out of the corners to see if she can see any glinting...*

<*suddenly realises she forgot to draw her own scimitar, which she can now spell*>

*draws scimitar*

*They approach the goblinoids*

~~They's about 10m in front of us. Isca, there's one lagging behind on your side. Dead level with that torch braket on the left, 1.5m from the wall. Creep forward and swipe just below your waist.

Vlain, follow, we're going to have move faster than Isca cause they're going to notice something is wrong when Isca takes off that goblins head. They're being very lax, which is good for us, they know they have an illusion so they're not looking out for any others who also might have an illusion.

About 3m in fron of where Isca will be is where the next group is. Stick close to the wall on the right and you should only meet one or two at a time~~

*Aaylia hurries forward*

*moves closeer to the wall and carefully follows aaylia, her footsteeps are hushed by magic*

*Isca moves without saying a word, swiping at a target level with the torch bracket, 1.5 metres in, at just below waist height, and carefully observing the result*

< Now, the fun begins >

*a head falls from where Isca's blade was and her blade is now bloodied*

~~Right, no more magic for hiding where you are, save your energy. Isca, run forward, 2 goblins straight ahead, 2m away. Swipe madly but conservatively a lot and you'll hit them when they come near you.

Vlain, 2 right in front of you, arms distance away. Slash at them Reaching forward, but don't overbalance~~~

*Aaylia runs forward and attacks another group of goblinoids that I've forgotten what I was going to make them, so for the minutes they're still goblinoids*

< *goes to get some lunch, so just keep attacking and if you finish them move forward and have a lucky shot and find someone else to kill* >

*Isca drops the spell and pulling her stiletto, moves forward, then starts slashing with her dagger then when she sees an opportunity stabbing with her stiletto*

*also drops footstep quieting spell*

*reaches foreward and slashes the 2 goblinoids, who die*

*continues to move foreward very slowly. not wanting to stany in the same place and be caught off gaurd*

*Aaylia continues moving forward, killing or injuring with the least pain possible*

*She is moving towards the drow who is casting the illusion*

*She is also glancing around to what Isca and Vlain are doing*

*Isca stabs 1 goblin with her stiletto then as the 2nd lunges at her with his scimitar parries with her dagger before plunging her stiletto into his throat*

*slowly she moves forward looking for signs of more foes*

*carefully moving ahead she spots something glinting just ahead of her and throws her dagger, hitting the goblin a glancing blow, but it grunts distracted.

She lunges at it with her stiletto, a blow it just parries, then jumps back as it ripostes. The blow nicks her arm but carried forth by its momentum the goblin stumbles, and Isca rakes its face with her stiletto.

As it staggers back blinded by the blood pouring into its eyes she stabs at it repeatedly until it collapses dead.

Checking there are no others around Isca pauses to retrieve her dagger and bind her wound.*
