You could look around for poetry or lyrics on h2g2, bookmark them and when your parents come in flick to those pages and look really engrossed reading them.

I'm already doing that - sort of. Before I come on I find a music web page with loads of stuff on it, and every time they come near I use the Alt+Tab thing to flick to the other page.

And, of course, I get rid of the menu bar at the bottom of Windows, so they can't see that I'm on more than one page at once...

All wise precautions. Blocks of text work quite well too. It doesn't usually matter what subject they are, and they also don't take too much time to load or draw on screen.

I know there are a few band dedications if you want impressive looking headlines

Another alternative is to write your own 'Music' page putting on titles or text that you want them to see smiley - smiley

I also have a few Word files at hand that are very useful - is it really my fault that once you've copied and pasted something useful that you *have* to *spellcheck* it there and then. And it's just such a coincidence that it takes so long to get through...smiley - winkeye

Forget *spellcheck*, claim that as is the case with most of the internet, a lot of the words are misspelt, you have to *proof-read* to make sure the context is right. Can't be losing marks now for shoddy research smiley - smiley

You *proofread* and THEN you *spellcheck*. After all, if the article *just happens* to be a load of rubbish I just have to find another one, but, if it is of some use I can then *spellcheck* it to gain extra timesmiley - winkeye

And spellchecking doesn't weed out there/they're errors, when you misspell a word into a new word, either.
