Da' Bruvver'ood: The Sisters' Threat...

Defaulting on your loan, brother? I may have to report this to the Black Monks of St Herod.

Not at all Brother! Do you fancy a pint at some point in the near future?

Stealth "Jack" Azathoth Posted Oct 3, 2007
I should be at the Islington Academy on the 28th, might that afford an opportunity for pintage?

Alas no, I'll be skint again by then. A training course in Brighton the previous weekend is going to do for me.
(An LGB&T training course held in Brighton. Ye gods.)
Anything of interest imminent with the Skeptics?

"The Relevance of Spiritualism in Society Today
The talk will examine the brief history of the Spiritualist movement and the growth of it as a mainstream faith in Britain. Phenomena inexorably linked with Spiritualism, such as materialisations, apports and the spirit trumpet will be discussed, along with the functions of the Spiritualist church. The industry behind the movement will also be examined, and the ‘need’ to believe in the unbelievable."
I may go just to get out, I've not been abroad much recently...
What are you doing on the Sunday? I should be in the Cricketers (the one in Hove) on the Sunday from 7-ish. Or will you doing the Brighton scene?

16th? Should be able to do that.
I'll probably be on my way back to the smoke by 7.00 on the Sunday.

Roy, it's worse than I imagined, this Sisterhood threat.
We have *got* to do something
Passes an and a
We need a serious think, Bruvva

Indeed. There are things we have to our advantage:
1) Matt's apparent dawning realisation that freedom is the way,
2) Our honesty, integrity and intelligence,
3) Our lack of crumbs.
Things that work to our disadvantage:
1) Stockholme syndrome,
2) The Sisters' deviousness and downright dastardliness,
3) Our lack of crumbs.

And then there's the Wild Card; Rob the Carpet?
Could we issue an invitation to this rehabilitating person to the Bruvvahood?
Or would that be a bit underhanded?
Integrity is our watchword
Or it is until I learn to spell something a bit less challenging

You should check the drop down list: Rob is a long standing Bruvva! I was worried that Rob's membership might have been a trick on the part of The Sisters, along with Matt's membership, and I am still fearful that this might be the case. I fear they are playing a long, devious game here.
Mind you, I have been watching far too much Spooks.

You're also a Scorpio and have a deep and intimate understand of all things dark and devious.
Though I don't think you'd get more dark and devious than the Sisters
btw Spooks is cool!
When's the next series, do you know? And whats the name of that site where you can download old TV series? Sad though it is, I have a burning urge to re-see some of the old Blakes7 runs and revisit my mis spent yoof.

Spooks returns on the 16th (I think, certainly thereabouts). I've just started on S5, having watched S1 - S4 over the last two weeks (there's a thread in my Journal about it.)
I have S1 of Blake's 7 on my hard drive.

Possibly...
I know what I want, know what I feel, know what I am...
Sorry about that, I was singing along to a DVD.
Roight then, where were we?

Moving On Posted Oct 9, 2007
I hadn't put you down as a Dido person?
Dunno... where were we?
Oh yes. You mentioned you had s1 of Blake's 7 on hard drive and I was going to bribe you with a pint or 2 for a copy.

Er, it was Marillion, 1987! Sugarmice to be precise.
Beer bribes! Superb! I'll see what I can do.
Not that I'm thinking of copying a BBC TV production and passing it on to a friend, for such behaviour would be piracy.

Obviously. Let us not forget our integrity!
Marillion, eh?
Remind me, wasn't that the 1980s band that did "Kayleigh" or am I hopelessly off the mark?
I'm listening to the Travelling Wilburys; very quietly because my sons snigger at some of my taste in music
And besides, I want to evesdrip on my elder son's telephone conversation.

Marillion? Ahem: A164503 (and don't believe what it says: I wrote all of it! Update indeed. Pah!)
