I suppose this gives my old age away but my favourite posssesion as a kid was my model of Supercar.
It had retractable wings just like the one on the telly.
No one that I ever talked to can remember supercar but I looked it up on the net at http://www.sixtiescity.com/CultTV/TV61.htm and there it was.

Wasn't there a monkey called Mitch that travelled round with them and a professor called Matthew Matic?

Hey wasn't this the predecessor to Stingray, Thunderbirds et al. I am sure this was the first Gerry anderson outing. Am I right eh! eh! am I ! EH!

Yep, i think you're right, it was a Gerry Anderson film. It came a bit after his first series which was (I think) a cowboy series called, something like, 'Four Feather Falls'.
