What pictures have those guys done?
Kevin Walker... that guy was incredibly talented. He was they guy who did all those photo-realistic black and white pictures they used to use all the time. That one with the Genestealer smashing the marine's helmet? That was him. Once in White Dwarf ages ago, they had the work he'd done for the Warhammer comic they were planning (took something like seven more years for it to come out). And that stuff was great. I'd have bought the comic if he'd done it.

What, Warhammer Monthly? I think it's called that. Either way the Warhammer comic's been going a while now (and it's quite good actually - I picked up a lot of free issies )
Anyway, my particular favourites have done all sorts of paintings. I'll have to dig up the White Dwarf they're interviewed in.
Horros! I've lost many White Dwarfs! Omigod, I hope I find 'em...

Mark gibbons is the one who puts little MGs as part of the pictures (say etched in to a space marines skull). He hasn't done any work for a while since he left over pay disputes.
He did the 2nd eddition codex orks cover, and most of the phenix lords. On page 25 and 77 of codex imperials he has some very good pics. Dave Gallagher is also one of the best, he's done virtualy all the old codex/rulebook/armies books

Mark Gibbons's name rings a bell. Did he do the vast majority of the Blood Bowl pics?
Pay disputes with GW *^_^*. Could only be that, eh?

Mark Gibbons did that picture of a Blood Angel Sergeant, standing on a staircase and looking hard like Judge Dredd, from page 25 in the Codex Imperialis. I reckon he was pretty good. They sure as hell had worse artists than him.

Think it /might/ be Wayne England you're thinking of, Mike. He was that one whose picures were really severe, with lots of black and straight lines.

Yeah. Wayne England. That's him.
"This guy can draw badgers..."

RadiO Posted Jun 2, 2000
Wayne England was great at drawing badgers... er, badges, and them page borders in White Dwarf. It was just that the actual pictures he did were... too weird, and out of proportion, for my tastes. The guy's clearly a highly skilled artist, but I just didn't like his style. Sorry.

Mike A (snowblind) Posted Jun 2, 2000
Granted, he was a great artist. That is beyond doubt. But, GW art is -all- absolutely ace, and in the hierachy of brilliant artists, Wayne is somewhere around the bottom. So, he's a class artist, but in terms of class artists he's not one of the better ones. Dig?

U got a while yet, sorta. At the begining of next week, say monday or tuseday i start to compile the data (thats when most of my exams finish), then a day or two after that i'll be starting to apply the results and put senarios and maps and that sorta stuff on the site, alot more detailed than what i've got now.
So within the next week would be ideal, i dunno how long it will take me to get the next episode done

Cool
I just had the best idea for publicity for it...ask the citadel journel to put an add in for me under the gaming socityes pages! I'll wait untill i've done the second rotation though...so they can really see what a master of campaign writing i am...[sinking back into a familiar smug expression]...
